Good to see you were so concerned with the game MH. All part of the plan to have you focusing on something other than footy ;) and i did warn your mob that hamley would knock you off.
Not everything i said was crap, those lads were very cut up last week and determined to get on the board this week.
Well done to the hamley lads and lets hope they push on now and challenge for a spot in the 4. the comp is looking alot more even now with anyone capable of winning on their day, been quite a few years since that has happened.

Peckers got over Virginia in a fair-dinkum arm-wrestle.
Niklaus had the radar on and kicked a bag but it wasn't enough, Balak running over the top late in the game.

MH: Have you got an explanation for yesterday's events?
Did you guys underestimate them?

Well done to the bombers yesterday, fantastic effort from all the group. Yes two wells may not have been at there best in terms of fumbles and skill level but that is due to the relentless pressure from the hamley players. Your only as good as your opponent lets you be!

MH went pretty well yesterday id never seen him play and he did impress me. Looks smart and skillfull. Might just need to hit the gym i think, or a pizza or two. =) but he was the 1opponent (out of 6) that bb said was the toughest. But due to them robbing peter to feed paul, he had to be moved back up the field.

How is the two wells lad that got stretched off. Hate seeing things like that and hope he is ok? Although he did have a fair mouth from the side lines but we can forgive that. Also the under 17 lad who went down with a back injury. How is he?

All in all great day for the hamley bridge football club and the best part is alot of the boys went home straight after the trivia night and treated it like another game, unlike in past years probably treated wins like grand finals. Pretty sure the lads can feel something building...

Virginia should of got over the line one the weekend, being in front at the last change, once all the illness has been filtered out and everybody is back to 100% i think the results will be different. Im thinking my call for for the mail medal at the moment is looking pretty good with Millsy BOG for United again.

Balak Over Mallala, Balak played there talls well had good run, only thing to let themm down is arguing amongst them selves, i think there were at least 5 25m penalties for arguing with umpires on weekend. If the keep there heads should be a win.

United over Hummocks, been so close last few weeks, watched them play last week delivery into the forward line is some of the best this year.

Virginia over Two Wells,
Had a couple of young guys play, anyone that watched should of been very impressed. After the loss on the weekend Rams should come out on all cylinders this week.

Balaklava 15.14 (104) d Virginia 14.5 (89) by 15 points
Hamley Bridge 16.6 (102) d Two Wells 11.13 (79) by 23 points
Mallala 11.7 (73) d United 11.6 (72) by 1 point

Hazbeen ($) 2, 4, 5, 5, 4 = 20
Dr Pink (free) 4, 5, 3, 3, 3 = 18
OnSong ($) 2, 3, 5, 4, 4 = 18
Ace Of Spades ($) 4, 4, 2, 2, 4 = 16
Swamp Donkey ($) 2, 3, 3, 5, 2 = 15
wangas#4 ($) 0, 2, 4, 5, 4 = 15
maiden magpie ($) 1, 2, 5, 3, 4 = 15
UNDERthePACK (free) 2, 1, 2, 6, 4 = 15
AKA (free) 2, 2, 4, 4, 2 = 14
Mythical Creature ($) 2, 2, 3, 2, 2 = 13
Mighty Hounds ($) 2, 2, 3, 3, 2 = 12
Woofa (free) 0, 2, 5, 3, 2 = 12
Jumbo (free) 0, 1, 5, 3, 2 = 11
Old Son (free) 2, 2, 1, 3, 4 = 11
Drop Bear (free) 0, 0, 3, 4, 4 = 11
norm11 ($) 2, 1, 1, 3, 3 = 10
Charge Hard (free) 2, 0, 4, 2, 2 = 10
Bob Loblaw ($) 0, 2, 3, 3, 2 = 10
Fog Horn Leg Horn (free) 0, 0, 5, 2, 2 = 9

A strong tipping round despite no punter reaching the magical five-point marker.
Dr Pink's early season form has diminished and in panic, he has been tipping some real shockers and has disappeared two points off the throne he once held so boldly.
Form tipster UNDERthePACK picked four the hard way but continues his solid performance while several competitors were left with two points after not putting tips in.
Ace Of Spades also recovered after copping a no-tip round of two points last week.

I know at least two of those 25m penalties were from infringing over the mark, not sure of the other "three" but there was at least one from verbal abuse toward officials. Wouldn't have thought there were five but I'm not going to dispute it.
Still, they are all discipline issues, which were gifts from the opposition.
The reserves was also a cracker encounter (in the first half I saw anyway).

Apparently Sponge and his entourage are not placing much value on goals this year,
Barry Burgess drops 7 last week and doesn't feature in the best, this week 7 again and limps in for a paltry 5th best.
Could lead the goal-kicking at the end of the season for the league and finish 14th in his clubs B&F count.
Norm, can you shed some light on this blatant snubbing of the goal kicking machine.
I am looking forward to our next bye so I can slip along and see Barry at work.
Any truth to the rumour his brother wants to flick off the Moth-balls and slot into the forward pocket with him?

A four quarter effort would see him rise up the best players list Stewie. There was nothing between the best players on the weekend, hard to split

That would be a backward step for Hamley, surely they'd be looking to develop kids at this stage rather than play blokes that are clearly well-past their best, in this case due to injuries.
