Could lead the goal-kicking at the end of the season for the league and finish 14th in his clubs B&F count.
Norm, can you shed some light on this blatant snubbing of the goal kicking machine.
I am looking forward to our next bye so I can slip along and see Barry at work.
Any truth to the rumour his brother wants to flick off the Moth-balls and slot into the forward pocket with him?

A four quarter effort would see him rise up the best players list Stewie. There was nothing between the best players on the weekend, hard to split

So he needs to kick 20? ;)

Great win by the boys. A good 4 quarter effort with no passengers on the day. Great to see some smiles on the faces of the supporters. Hopefully we can provide many more smiles this season. We still have players to return to the side from injury too, including Craig Allen who is very important to the team as the architect from Half Back.

Obviously Sponge does not pick the best players on his lonesome, so perhaps the other 5 or 6 people nominating their best players should take more notice of the forwards? But we all know forwards often miss out on best players at all levels of football. Burgess did only have 8 kicks and 0 handballs though

No truth to the rumour about Dover...but it would be great if it was true.
Some folks are wise and some are otherwise.

That would be a backward step for Hamley, surely they'd be looking to develop kids at this stage rather than play blokes that are clearly well-past their best, in this case due to injuries.

I think you will find Swamp that stewie knows the Burgess borthers and is stirring the pot. Saw Ben at the supermarket with his young lad Saturday and he mentioned that he has no interest of coming out of retirement as he enjoys being able to walk on Sundays.

Bit harsh normy... Or just swap halves arounds and then i bet it would be fresh in memories. =) =)
Brett was happy with 5th all 5 before him were very deservant. And even a few unlucky. His job is to finish everyone elses hard work. He would kick 0 each week if the midfield didn't do their job.

Just ask shane catterall how many handballs burgess had, bet it was more than atleast "1" other player. =) =)

I reckon the guy who took those stats must be the same bloke who use to take the tackle stats a few years ago. =) =)

Not sure I understand this Normy,
You say BB didn't play 4 quarters, are you saying that 7 goals is less of a matchwinning effort
if say he kicks them all in 10mins rather than over the whole game???
Would've thought 7 goals = 7 goals, approx half the score, ergo should've been top 3 in the best players.
The Scud seems to be 'humbling' the effort up, is 2 great efforts in 2 weeks, regardless of whether he kicks them all from the goal square.
Bravo Barry Burgess, we will have you back at Ango anytime where your value is recognised and appreciated :D

Any thoughts about the pink footy's over the weekend. Personally I found it a piece of crap, but that was probably due more to the fact that it wouldn't come near me
Highly successful idea for the auction though, I think it raised ~$650 at Long Plains after the match. Any other prices from around the place? There were 2x pink netballs (A1 & A2s) flogged off too, along with one of Mrs MC's creations which fetched $75 (clearly under valued). In total I'd say they would raised close to a grand.

Ours was swapped with a normal ball at quarter time. I think Hamley complained about it

The pink ball was swapped for a normal one at half time in the Peckers vs Rams game, not sure who complained about it or why.

Balak auctioned off our 2 pink netballs during our players auction on Saturday night with them fetching $320. Don't know where the footy ended up.
