I'd imagine sales would have taken a hit OnSong?

Down six percent actually. Dropped from 15 to 14.

No, seriously, in the one conversation I had with him for the pre-season preview, he seemed to be a nice bloke with some good things to say.

I have heard the same thing, hopefully he forgives and forgets. Would be good to hear his perspectives on where he thinks Hamley are at now that they are up and going.

Is a shame really, Peter Argent generally makes an effort to speak to the coaches who are willing to have a chat.
Whether Rian's stance on this has changed, I do not know.

Talk about being precious!

I hear his assistant is a good bloke too. :) not smart enough to get some quotes out of though. But we are looking forward to the next three games in a row we have.

Not precious at all, we just dislike people when they write something as pathetic as he did that first week. To write what he wrote was just ordinary a's far a's I'm concerned. But we are all entitled to our opinion I know but that one should have been left out and kept to him self

But, I'm sure Peter would be more than happy to call Ryan after the weekend's matches if he happens to change his mind.

Apparently a few of you guys at Hamley seem to "know" who "he" is.

Thanks for clearing that up for me on song, i hadn't heard that, but if this is true.. probably fair enough. thought some comments early on were far too harsh, especially against players that had not been given a chance to prove themselves on field and prove their loyalty off field aswell...

But must admit i might be just starting to like Rick's Articles every week...

Yeah, precious. He should just get on with it. I'm sure the Hamley supporters wouldn't mind hearing a few quotes from their coach, especially after a good win. After all.....any publicity is good publicity!

I agree on that first point. Haven't seen how the other new lads go but I've always had a huge amount of respect for Christmann and his footy.
It seems Peter Argent rates Pepe and Moody pretty highly too.

On your second point, I can't imagine why.

Good article DW, pretty much nailed it IMHO. JD could quite easily not be involved at Two Wells with his public life so busy, but he is around most Saturdays supporting the club - great to see.

Nice one DW. Thought that was a good read, like Jumbo said, good that he still hangs around where he first began.

Thanks Jumbo and MC.
John's a great bloke, which actually made this hard to write.
We did the interview sitting in a cafe by the river - toooo relaxing.

I've known John since I was 20, even worked with his daughter.
A true professional.

Pretty sure Andy Michael will be coaching the Association side again this year to defend the title :D :D . I'd imagine those whom are selected in the squad will be notified either tonight or next week, so that they can train twice together in the fortnight leading into the carnival.

Penalties still apply for players not making themselves available and I believe the same rule has been applied to those players whom are selected and make themselves unavailable to play in the zone carnival, so given the APFL zone selector is from Balaklava, I'm guessing there will be 4-5 Mallala players selected in the zone squad as Mallala plays Balak on that same weekend and I'd put money on the fact that G Dawson and Whisky et al. will be playing for Balak that day ;) ;)

That's a bit rough Swampy! see how you go against this weekend first, if you towel us up there will probably be 18 Mallala players in the Cup side if we play on the same weekend.
