Doesn't matter, I probably had opportunity to get rid of it but thought I had marked it. By the time I realised it wasn't paid, I wasn't going to just dish it out to no one.
They let it go a bit though. Lot of scrappy contests early on.

Dont worry I was surprised by the call aswell. IMO it was the best I'd seen Will umpire. I dont mind them letting the game go.

The tackling was brutal from both sides. Our count was 61 to 59 and I didn't see many 'soft tackles' during the game.

Did Hummocks dust off Micky Martyn to play on Barry Burgess last week?,
that is his worst return in a long while.
Would hate to think how far he was from being in the best players with just 1 goal.

Was the most inspirational sting I've seen since walking the Kokoda Trail.
Big Barry Burgess displayed a Phar Lap like performance to even get on the field after straining a calf the previos week.

Did he get 2? still, herculean effort by his opponent.
Wouldn't have dragged him much closer to the best though.

The 4 Dutch backpackers, all named Inga, were responsible for getting him up and about,
they spent the best part of Friday night massaging it for him.
Apparently he told them he would kick half a goal for them each if they did it.
A man of his word is Barry, never lies to a woman to gain favour, and he didn't let any of them down.
I look forward to kicking back and watching the great man during our bye week and learning the fine art of goalkicking and charming the ladies.

Be that as it may, it was another good game from his opponent Sam "Tench" Baker, in what has been, by all reports, an impressive season so far. Seems to have settled into the back six this season, when in other years his role has changed from one week to the next. One of the few shining lights for HWE in '11. He's certainly had a bit of work to get through the last few weeks.

Don't know how old the Tench is 'the Jack' but he has arrived as a footballer,
no-one has been able to curb Barry Burgess yet this year until now.
I think Barry played at Flinders Park last year, had injuries though and wasn't at his best,
in saying that his average is way above par for the rest of us.
The Adelaide plains league is lucky to have him.
Keep slotting them through the middle big man, you always have a fan in me.

You sure about that Stewie? The few games I saw last year he wasn't playing for FP.

Think he was kicking goals at Fitzroy like they were going out of fashion with his old mate Shayne Mitchell.

I cant believe you actually searched for that, difference between them. 1 those two are the same height. No way you out jumped me and IIRC your agruement was " when did I have a chance to get rid of it". I would swap the tackle for the win though

I do remember playing with Onsong back in senior colts where he seemed to think he jumped Higher than the scoreboard...

Sorry, I meant Fitzroy.....
Arent Flinders Park the old Fitzroy (VFL) colours?
Hence my confusion.
I knew he was carving up somewhere.

Missed most of last year with a really bad hamstring injury. Came back to HB because he missed his mates and the club, pretty simple.
