If the coach got involved in an on-field scuffle, they should throw the book at him. WTF was he thinking

I didnt see the coach involved at all other than trying to get the f**k out of the way. Did a good job considering the scuffle ended up pretty much inside the coaches box.

MH who was the TW fan in amongst the brawl throwing jabs and grabbing blokes by the throat and saying "thats my son...thats my son". I am sure his son can protect himself if he is good enough to be playing A Grade football.

Get off your high horse mate and report all the facts.

Well Gilbert that sounds like something I would of heard if I was amongst it all. From my position on the field I did not hear that, so I can't answer it.

We would of had one but he pulled out sat morn. One or two of the inclusions played the last couple of games of last year, so they tasted their first win. I believe we where on -5 or -6 points for the day. very young side

Funny you say you caught the show Stewie. You posted on the BLG forum that you saw Blakmore play at Gawler Centrals. Never let a lie get in the way of a good story

Answer me this then MH.

Was the large guy with short grey hair throwing cheeky little jabs and grabbing HB players by the throat a fan??...or was it actually your coach?

I wouldnt know him if I fell over him...

i can answer that for you FGH, no he wasnt the coach, because once it all sort of broke up i watched that gutless old fool and he went across and picked up his west end draught can he'd put on the ground before jumping the fence and throwing punches from behind everyone... i wonder if this guy was at the game against Virginia and owns a sling shot???

Also Rian Nelson was caught in the middle because the fight got out of control so quickly that it was over by the box and he had nowhere to go. If you know Rian then you'd know how hard it would have been not to get involved but he didnt and acted the way a A grade coach should...

But MH if you want to point fingers then maybe you should point at one of your club reps... one thats name has a little bit in common with FRANCIS gilbert hamley. what i seen from him was extremely innappropriate. so dont go throwing stones.

Nah, fgh, that was the father of one of the players. He has been told that his behaviour was unacceptable and not the way to support the team.

Bugs and Nelson were having words as they walked off at halftime, probably talking about the weather, Nelson must have known the forecast because he wasn't saying much. Nelson also refused a handshake after the game. Poor form!

Managed to get my Aunt Cynthia to take the Video Camera to the Gawler V Ango game,
caught that on my big screen TV Saturday night, hence was able to see them both.
Haven't gone back and checked my other posts so I hope this is water tight.
If not, then you should probably take the majority of my posts with a hint of salt coz they are generally just stupid.
Am looking forward to you meeting the little man Scud, he will be the one wearing a guernsey with your number
and holding a texta for you to sign it. Will be a coup if I can get the Duke to join me.
Where are you playing on the 2nd and 9th of July?

And he has been dealt with, no one supports his actions.

I'll stand by my comment.

Either way, what happened at TW/HB game, and even the Whisky incident surely can't be good for footy. Our competition is better than this and regardless of what Two Wells have done (if any) to penalise this supporter, surely it would warrant investigation from higher authorities. Safety of players and umpires is the single most important thing in footy, and you should be able to play confidently with the knowledge that you aren't gonna get belted in the back of the head by a spectator. Even if a scuffle breaks out and goes over the boundary line, it gives nobody the right to touch or punch a player. Pretty sad to hear about it to be honest. :(
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Word on the street is that the Assoc Directors are booked out till Thursday night with meetings re: Two Wells / Hamley goings on during the A grade match.
Both club presidents arent answering their phones and the decision has been made to send both A grade coaches straight to the tribunal Wednesday night.
Should be interesting......
