Hi Guys looks like we've inherited Peter Burgoyne back at Mallee Pk for the rest
of the season. Was he not contracted to United?

Well Hazbeen, after just consulting the "laws of Football 2011" Im not sure that they do, I couldnt see that in the rules, may have missed it? I did however see the list of reportable offences pertaining to abusing, threatening, insulting umpires, after which I would say the big fella is extremely lucky to get away with it and even luckier to be rewarded for it. I had a little laugh at the time (together with the rest of the lads) but after seeing Will after the game the bloke appeared shattered, but for him to buy Whiskey a beer after apparently advising him no hard feelings, what happens on the field stays on the field, I'm back to it being a touch funny, more for the whole situation now though!

Fantastic Sponsor's Night held by the Adelaide Plains Football League Umpire's Association at Mallala tonight. The auction raisied over $4000 with funds going towards umpire development and charity. The highlight of the evening was the guest speakers in Central District's twins Chris and James Gowans who had the large crowd in stiches with tales of their childhood right through to their glory days at the doggies. Well done to all involved.
