Interestingly up until a couple of years ago Gawler Central were required to wear white shorts for home and away games Vs Nuri while Nuri were allowed to wear their black shorts all year.

Don't forget also that BL&G also have 2 Navy Blue and Red teams as well, just to make things interesting... I really can't understand why one of the "clashing" clubs wouldn't consider changing their colours. There is no traditional Red & White, Blue and Gold or Red, Black and White teams in the league so it could easily be fixed. Also, why does Barossa have red shorts for home matches??? Should be blue IMO the red shorts look ridiculous..
If you don’t like my words, don’t listen. If you don’t like my appearance, don’t look. If you don’t like my actions, turn your head; It’s as simple as that.

I doubt the league would be interested in changing up the shorts for away teams. Its taken 3 years to get every club to wear the official APFL shorts.

I think Lubke's record speaks for itself. Time will tell I guess. If you weigh up the credentials of the two coaches it would prob clear things up pretty quickly for you, but I wouldn't have a clue.

From what I've heard about him he is very lazy. But will still be very good for them.

He's been in the league before carey. I was under the impression he wasn't very well liked due to his work ethic, maybe MC could shed some light on what he thought about him when he was at longies?

Nice try :D but your off the mark ;) Like I keep saying time will tell. Its a bit more about the playing group and their efforts rather than that of the coach anyway.

Yep, went on the Footy Show with all the associated bravado after banging home a heap of goals against Callington.

I've never seen him play but I would hazard a guess many in the APFL would have in his recent stint with United.

There is no doubt the big Q stick is a good player. Obviously he played for us a few years ago (2008) straight from Centrals and it wouldn't be hard to say he was inconsistent, but we did have big expectations from him. Having said that he almost single handedly won the Prelim against Hummocks for us when he kicked 4 or 5 goals in the last quarter when nothing could stop him (I know my job in that qtr was just to get as far away from him as possible  ). We all know he is a big game player and his record would tell you that.

However I personally wasn't devostated to see him go, and good luck to Virginia if they have indeed signed him. I spoke to him at a couple of finals games this year and he actually looks in better nick than when he played for us. He will turn it on for the Rams in finals there is no doubt and that could be the missing ingredient that they need to get them over the line. :D
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Looks like he might have the forward 50 to himself, heard around the traps that Nicklaus is going back to Gawler Central next year to cover the loss of Scotty Hahn!!!

If the big Q was in my team, I'd have him playing across half back, but it seems high-profile players these days pretty much push their magnet to whereever they wanna play when they sign up and it gets pot-riveted to the board for the rest of the season. On his day I think the bigQ would kill it inn our league, I really hope he never hits his straps vs Mallala

So does everyone know when they start pre-season?

We start November 28th, the earliest the club has ever started pre-season!
