Still be A grade? Mid 30's these days? Renmark would have to be pushing the points for recruits now? Fair few ins that are apparently A grade standard..... If the recruits are as good as what I am hearing, Rovers could give North & Roo's a real challenge for 2nd spot

The Rovers are just about premiership favorites every year in the Pioneer

Yeh well it's been a few seasons since Renmark hasn't had a story in the pioneer in the preseason about their new gun recruits & how they have huge expectations on the upcoming season haha.

How's North looking? Strong as usual? Lost a few but gained a few solid lads.

North will probably be the same as per the last 7-8 years. Only concerning thing for them is that their older guys aren't getting any younger and a few of their depth kids have left to play in the Mallee. Could really hurt them if they cop a couple of injuries

Any thoughts on todays games,
Waikerie v Barmera should be a good game Maggies by 25points
Berri v Lox Nth don't thinks its going to be as one sided as everyone thinks Lox Nth by 35 points
Renmark v Loxton, Renmark easily 60pts plus

Waikerie pretty easy winners in the end
Panthers in a cakewalk really thought the Dee's would have been a lot more competive, very young side thou
Rovers easy winners, Tigers look like they might be a stronger than last year depth will be a worry

Rovers easy winners? Were you at the game? It was tight the whole way, loxton were up half way through the final qtr. Rovers kicked away in the dying minutes.

Watched Waikeri vs BMFC.

Roo's were super competitive but Waikeri's midfield is just electric & their new FF Nobes will kick 100+ goals this year with the delivery he is getting. Absolute monster of a lad with some huge hands. Should of kicked 10....... Also the 2 Spencely brothers will behard to stop all year.

Roo's lost Jack Selfe after quarter time & the young roo's were just outbodied all day. Matt Minn looked elite & Jacob Fisher will be a force down FF aswell aslong as he kicks straight. Great set of hands & a solid lad.

Hard to see anyone going head2head for 4 quarters with Waikeri sadly..... only early days still I guess but sheesh they look good.

Probably should have said "comfortably in the end" instead of easy winners

Not sure if they were 15, but definitely had some young lads in the side.

Perhaps they should've promoted juniors 4 or 5 years ago instead of throwing cash around chasing a quick fix?

I think you'll find Berri have promoted juniors for quite some time cobber. Unfortunately, a lot move to Adelaide or pursue other interests so it's hard to hold onto them.

Changing the subject, a little birdy told me last night that Sam Fisher and Steven Milne could be pulling on the guernsey's for the Fisher Cup. That would attract a fair old crowd. Would be a great experience for Barmera's kids playing with them and Berri's young lads too, playing against such quality opposition. Definitely would benefit both teams in their own different ways I reckon.

Agree, happens at all RFL clubs. Retaining juniors is near on impossible. Its funny hearing Adelaide clubs whinge how unfair it is country clubs getting bigger salary caps & country clubs steal their gun seniors...... Mean while those city clubs have signed on 4-5 U/18 players from country clubs who have moved down for uni or work at the same time.....

Would love to see Fisher & Milne out there but Fish just had a op on his bicep from a wakeboard incident so not sure how the recovery would go there.....
