Didn't spend much time in the midfield though.
Bungee cord was in action again ;)

Lets not beat around the bush, Two Wells should absolutely belt Virginia tomorrow. They have been the standout team all season and they deserve a flag. All the pressure is on the Roosters and it could prove to be their own worst enemy. No pressure boys.

Great effort by Virginia to make the GF for a third successive year after looking down and out mid-way through the season. They also will be well deserved winners if they get up, but it would be a huge upset if they do.

Both clubs have been starved of premiership success since their inclusion into the APFL with Two Wells nailing just one flag in 1987 and Virginia one in 1998 (and in 1909 and 1910).

Two Wells have blown their chances in three grand finals since then, while Virginia have also lost three in recent times including the last two.

Good luck to both teams and I hope we see some rough stuff (on the field) tomorrow arvo to bring the veranda to life. I'm tipping Two Wells to win by 56 points and Ned Seccafien to win BOG.

They are under more pressure than a fat girl's deck chair but it makes for a massive release if they win it.

Great game of footy. Two Wells probably not as dominant as I thought they would be, especially if you take the goals from silly 50m penalties and Tallan Leighton's goal at the death, which looked well over the line.

That said, the result is in the bag and I'm sure there will some parties to come over the next few months.

My top three from each team:

TW-
J Allmond: BOG and rightly so, played the customary HB role while also jagging a few majors.
N Seccafien: Stood up at pivotal times and rarely made an error.
B Fitzgerald: Competed with Niklaus well after O'brien couldn't handle the big fella. Important role in defence.

Special mentions to Khan Leighton & Lee Allmond, who started well but drifted out of the game in patches.

V-
B Russell: outstanding job in the midfield, clean hands under pressure, worked his arse off.
A Mark: Rarely beaten. Simple as that.
B Niklaus: Kept the team in the game with important goals and took some contested grabs. Let down a bit once the ball hit the deck.
Right in front of me. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

Congrats to the Roosters, form team for at least the second half of the year if not longer!
Will they keep all their players?

Where to for the Rams, a lot of effort for 3 bridesmaid gowns...?
