Watched my first game of footy in this comp yesterday, a good solid win for the doggies. I think the benefit of three trial games helped them out with the eagles only having one trial under there belt.

Eagles seem to have good size, with Clarke, Coles and Ross Pederson, who should give the midfield first look most weeks.. I dont know to much about the rest of the side, but they have good depth ive heard so i put them in the top 3 based on that mate.. My only knowledge on them is that Ross Pederson will take this comp by storm if he stays on the park all year!

Pederson got a touch up by Wallaroo's new ruckman yesterday. The dogs should have won by alot more.
Does anyone know if new gun recruit Burgess played? I didnt see his name in the goalkickers so i assume he is still injured

The local players looked good and two of their recruits where very good in ross, wright. Other recruits need to improve or they have wasted there money.

Yes have to agree they were both very good. I thought that number 11 was good, not sure if he was a recruit or a local. Also thought the chf was ok but will improve. ( forgot his name, he is a recruit) and I can tell u right here right now that Brett Jobby Burgess will kick many a goals in this comp if he gets fit and the delivery is a little better to him than it was yesterday.

Was chf Trevillian (bear)? Big bloke black hair, helmet.

Burgess should just get out of Ross's way. Not even half the player.

Anyone watch Paskerville play against CMS yesterday? They had a big loss I see. How'd Ahley Matz and Matt Eagles (tall skinny Ruckman with dreads) go? I see he got in the best players, rucked against another boy from our area in Matty Murnane.

He was named in the team on sportingpulse team sheet. Wouldn't have a clue though if he was a late omission. Didn't see the game.

Agreed, was a very good player for Heccies, played on the ball for them IIRC.

Where has the sharp improvement of the doggies come from? I have always rated a couple of their local younger lads, will they be a potential finals prospect this year can anyone let me know?
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

They have played one game. Will see how the improvement goes against a strong team this week. Eagles no where near what they were in their back to back premiership years. They always have had some good local lads coming though. I will guess that they and 5 other clubs will be looking to fill 4th and 5th by seasons end.

The pressure is on Jamie kemp and the CMS crows this year to take the big one out. If they don’t all this time and money spent on recruiting will be for nothing. Same goes for Moonta.
