The Informer is 16 pages, each A grade team sheet takes up three of those, the other footy grades take up another three. There's 6 pages.

The Informant piece fills page 2. There's a front and back cover. There's another three pages.

The netball line-ups take up another three.

After a suggestion last year, we've introduced the premiership tables as of last week.

The remaining space belongs to the clubs. Maybe three and a half pages. If each of the 7 clubs uses that space, either with an ad or article, that fills the book.

The photos in there are generally published as fillers, should clubs not contribute anything. The whole mantra of the Informer is "By the clubs, for the clubs".

I've asked for suggestions on content before, ladders was one response. The ladders are in. Anything else would probably impinge on space allocated for the clubs to promote themselves/events they have.

All of the information published in The Informer comes from the league's clubs. If Nocyrils wants to give something back to the league like I do, and Lisa Redpath does, every week on top of my work, you're more than welcome.

It's a heck of a lot of work to do on top of the jobs we already have at the newspaper (probably takes up to seven or eight hours to do) and if anyone wanted to take it on, they're more than welcome.

I'm pretty certain the Barracker has someone employed specifically to compile it and if the APFL wanted to go down that path, it would also be more than welcome to do so.

Until then, it's something extra we take on. It may be basic but it does the job. So :finga: the lot of you

Nocyrils told me he is happy to help out but only if he gets to work with his good mate 'the informant'

If the rumours are correct then I wouldnt think they would have much $$$$ left after paying those "NEW PLAYERS"

There's money there through grants etc. I think they're working on something. Also looking forward to Two Wells' upgrade. That should be really good.[/quote

im sure the league would love too share the grandfinal around too clubs such as two wells and hamley and i am sure they will take them but its evident the facilities are not up too scratch to host a GF, have heard about the two wells grant which will be great for the club and lets hope there are grants available for hamley because they need it too, its been the big 3 venues for the GF the last few years balak, mallala and virginia

Virginia only once. Usually it's Balak, Mallala and Long Plains. Only as they can accomodate the big day the best, although I had no reservations playing at Virginia in 2011

Of course after a few seconds worth of shrinkage in the ice bath, you'd practically be able to swim around in it.........

Good to see a few local boys having an impact in the SANFL last week.
For the eagles,
Balak's Glen Dawson made his League debut. Judging by the stats it looks as though he spent a fair bit of time on the pine... managed 2 touches including one pt.
TW's Jared Allmond made his return to the league side too collecting 10 touches and kicking 2 goals.
Former Mallala junior (where he learnt everything he knows :D ) and HB A grade player Todd Miles had 15 touches for the Roosters.

In the reserves,
for the Eagles, Balak's Sam Rowland managed 18 touches,
for centrals, HWE's Dallas Hill had 11 kicks and kicked 7 goals 3, after making his league debut a couple of weeks back. Dare say he'll be back in the 1s this week.

Have I missed anyone?

I wrote almost something like a carbon copy of this for last week's paper but it was left out. It got a run this week on the back of Dawson's debut.
Didn't touch on Todd Miles but did mention Justin Schahinger. Will need to remind myself to keep up to date with Todd's work as well.
