One half of football against a very under strength team? Chests beating ?

You might get spanked by them again, ya never know? Stranger things have already happened this year?

On Thursday night, an unknown offender entered the change rooms at the Barossa Footy Club whilst the players were out training, and stole wallets and keys belonging to five of the players. There was a male, not known to anybody, seen hanging around the Club during training but he was gone when the players realised their things had been taken. Male is described in his mid to late 30’s, Caucasian with short brown hair and was driving a white VY or VZ Commodore.

Please can all clubs be aware of this incident and advised to make their players aware to be vigilant with the security of their possessions..

We are pretty safe at Hamley. We have our trainers room situated in our changerooms. So there will always be an old fossil dick like Hanson, Taylor, Greenwood, Heberle etc in there gettin treatment for some mysterious injury that improves by Saturday.

V thach doesnt get injured due to having 0 hard ball gets next to his name.

For those strategising the injury rule for association, don't forget the option to miss the game prior rather than after. That way your club president won't need to take the morale high ground once the nuclear fallout has settled. I'd doubt there will be any players from Hamley faking it with Red's association hat on......

I've always wondered why a player doesn't just limp around association training saying I'll be right mate, and miss selection rather than the old 'but I booked a family holiday six months ago' and copping a week off.

Hamley players could all turn thier back on being selected for association and serve a weeks suspention as they will still get over the line against a depleted Eagles outfit.

You're saying a team without Shane Hanson, Valor Thach, Craig Taylor, Kirk Heberle, Ryan Appleton, Win Thach and Toby Hasledine would beat HWE? Doubt that very much.

all of the Above will train but only 3 maybe 4 picked IMO Thach, Taylor, Hasildine and perhaps Hanson, then they MAY do an injuriy of some sort the week of the Assosiation game thus ruling them out the next week through suspension, that still leaves Heberle, W Thach, Applelton and possibly Hanson to be available for the match against the eagles they would win with those ins or are Hamley willing to drop the game so as no player gets injured in the assosiation game?? interesting one and cant wait to see the outcome, MH says they will miss one but injured anyway, intersting to see what the other 3 contenders do with their stars who miss association game

Would think w. thatch would play if 5 under 21s are need if he has had a decent season.

Why not just play in the game? I don't understand why a player wouldn't want to be part of an Association game. I know the names from Hamley you throw around have played at a lot higher levels in terms of grades and association games but I'm sure Hamley would love to see these guys play representing Hamley Bridge and it represents your association out there and with a good result may in turn attract better players for seasons to come.

Just my thoughts.......

You've lost me. :?

3-4 selected in the SQUAD wont get picked in the acctual TEAM, to gaurantee they can play the following week they will ALL train BUT the 3-4 picked in the acctual TEAM MAY pull injuries therefor not play and will recieve a weeks holiday hope that helps ;)

A lot of players named have been to that point in their careers, reached that peak or higher. Now they have families and want to use that time to spend a quality 3 days with them, football free, considering most of the weekends for 6 months of a year are taken up by it.

I don't disagree with either comments here. It would be great to see all players putting their hand up and it's a fantastic opportunity to test yourself at a higher level. Even looks good on your CV if you're after the $$. Unfortunately though that's not always the case, hence these oppressive rules. I just thought to note, given the prior threads, that you can elect to be 'injured' in the game prior to the association game rather than forced to miss the following week. :)

I think some of the mischievous comment made by Hamley players on here regarding the association game may be gathering too many legs. I'd be quite certain that if any of those blokes are picked for the representative game, there will be no "mystery" injuries and they will be playing.

We'll have to wait and see.

I'll hopefully get to the Mallala Hamley game this week, I reckon there will be a few sore bodies afterwards. I'm sure HB are better now than their first game, but I'm not sure they will get up. Interesting tipping..

Good point. Now we're at hump day, it's worth looking at the coming weekend's games and the Bomber v Magpie match is definitely the game of the season to date. Mallala will be looking to assert some dominance after smashing Hamley in what now looks to be an aberration of a result back in round two. For their part, the Bombers will be fired up to show that they ARE the best side in the comp. Will be a cracker of a game.

With the names that were invited by the league for association training I have no hesitation in saying a FULL strength APFL side would smash the YPFL association side but i know it wont be full stength and the YPFL will look like the better league again, I hope im wrong but we will see in two weeks time i guess
