Obushak was playing some good reserves at Centrals last season. Hopefully he'll go on.

May get more opportunity at another club however not an overlly big player and was used in the back half on the resting rovers. Couldnt break mid-field rotations in either side and was let go by Centrals. Could be a good get for South, he is very hungry to achieve.

BJ and Jingles i hope you guys don't get too embarrassed before the AFL game, should be a good one if you guys can stand up, it wouldn't be good for your competition if you get spanked by 30 goals...

Heaven help the GSFL if a match involving one of its clubs looked like a typical SFL match.

Pretty sure Willunga wont be getting pumped by 30 goals!
Just out of interest when would the last time be they lost by a margin of that size? It would be before they joined the GSFL I would think.

30 goals?? Surely you guys rate Willunga higher than that I think it would be a great game and would almost draw a bigger crowd to that than some Saturday arvo Power games!

Willunga wont roll over to any side ever!
They would not even consider taking it easy or not putting in 100%. They have won 4 flags in a row through commitment to each other, the club and hard work and I would not be surprised to see 5 in a row!!
This day will show a few other leagues how strong the GSFL really is, I am tipping Willunga to win this one!!

Speaking to one of the Goolwa lads at the local. Sounds like the Saints have recruited quite strongly and some quality key position players at that. May well be a promising season in 08.

Kappars the positive talk is appreciated.
We play Morphies in trials every year, ive personally played in 1 and they are a quality contest. We lack the depth they do thru the 2s and with usually missing around 10 guys on our first trial (which is the one we play Morphies) we just cant cover the losses as well as they can. We've gone down by around 5 goals in most of them. We won a couple of years back by a goal or 2 but unless we are full strength or close to it we dont have the numbers to match it as vintages and the like interfere with our preparation. The sides match up well height wise and both midfields are strong so its an even contest.

Hopefully Goolwas recruiting does produce a much better result for there club, too long have they struggled and not competed with the top sides and they have a good group of locals that are in it for each other win or lose. Its these type of guys u want to see have some success, not too much while im playing but a few more wins would be good for them!

You'd have at least 10 seasons left in you BJ!! So you'd like to see the saints have some success - just not in the next decade!!

Also heard that Schmidt is highly unlikely to be back at Compass next year. Dellatore and Mcleod signed on for the next 2 seasons at the Creek.
