Not sure how many you played at that level Westy?? but compared to my zero, 50 games at SANFL would be a wealth of experience to most in the YPLF and in particular at the cougars....Add his 30 or 40 reserve grade games all the while under the guidance of Andrew Jarman would make for a great environment to learn more about the game....

Went to Nth Ad at age 23 under the recomendation of Jarman who coached shaun at Gaza. Gatts never gave up his dream of playing SANFL and went to Gaza a couple of years earlier to persue it and at that time there was talk that Jars may be the next coach at Nth. History show's he did get the job and he wanted Shaun there. Being a slightly built lad it took him a year and a half to find his feet and went on to play seniors every week, getting in their best most weeks and becoming an important part in their side. This was also at the time when Nth were playing regular finals and if my memory serves me well they even made the prelim final and won a reserves flag in that time. Not a bad environment for learning...spent 5 years there and retired from that level on top of his game still playing good footy at senior level. Not a bad effort for a skinny lad from a small club like Eastern Park. Goes to show you young fella's to always follow your dreams no matter what others think and never give up on them....And he has a great footy brain which is why he made it. Not a large man, not very quick either but made it through his ability to learn and know the game.

Heard his old man stirred up a bit of trouble while he was playing at Nuri last year with a few mates from a motorcycle club??[/quote]

CCF......
Not sure about that one and i dont comment on things that I "heard" only things i "know".

All i can say is I have never known of any trouble at a footy club that i was involved with from Daisy or anyone associating with Daisy and thats a fact...

And dont you think its sad people cant seperate one person's actions from others....Lets tarnish everyone with the same brush!!!!!

But haven known the man for 20yrs and yes he has a tough exterior and you wouldnt cross him in a second, his also a very likable man when you know him..Choose your words wisely as we dont want to poke that sleeping bear...

enough said....

Which club has the $$$$$?

Known this lad since he was a little boy running around salisbury nth. Kid can seriously play....Back to back B&F's and a premiership in two years at the parkies playing Div2 Amateurs. And as I was involved with the club at the time, and in my opinion won the flag himself that day. A real leader. Started preseason at Pt Adelaide. In my 30 yrs of senior footy I cant remember to many that trained harder than this bloke....No shit he is a machine if not a freak!!!!! And if im right still only around 25yrs old....If that?

I know he has connections with the Gatto boys, Hancock and Haughy as they played in the same div2 premiership. Heads and shoulders above those boys ability wise though....But interestingly I ran into him at Moonta when we played down there earlier this yr as they had the bye that week. He went and watched some of his childhood mates playing there from his Salis nth days...Always looking super fit to. I recon they got in his ear that day so wouldnt be suprised, if he does head to the YP thats where he will play....Great asset to any club and I wouldnt hesitate in recomending any club looking for quality character's in their recruiting to speak with him. Sure he will join his mates at Moonta though.

Certainly would take this comp by storm.....And his old man Daisy is a funny bugger to boot...

Fair set of clubs for young bloke. Next year on YP be what. 4 clubs in 4 years or 5 in 5. definate worth investment.

For a Doctor your maths might be a little off mate??

From my calculations (which could be wrong) he played 2009/10 eastern park- 2 B&F's, 1 div2 flag (great value). got invite to do Pre season at Port which you wouldnt begrudge a young player for having a crack, early in 2011. Didnt get on their final list so went country if I remember right. Played at Nuri 2011/12

That = 2 clubs in 4 yrs (with great service) and if he does play with his mates at Moonta 3 in 5 years....Not quit like your equastion mate....Moonta would suit Craig with his mates already being established at the club and they wont be going anywhere soon so they could end up getting his best 5 or 6 years of footy out of him.

Club could only benifit from his services and someone like him could certainly help bridge that gap between them and the next level come finals time. At their best 3rd best team going around but still daylight separates them from the top two and has for the past number of years.

I would say Troy clements was a wealth of SANFL experiance. I think Gatto did a pre season at centrals and like most ex centrals players that don't make the cut go play for north. Played in an out of a struggling league side and then sent back to eastern park half way through a season.

So Hamley this year , nuri last year , eastern park the year before, so if he goes somewhere else next year that would make it 4 in 4 years?? Just saying. But the bloke is a gun and I hope he stays at the bridge.

So we have
Sturt 07
Tanunda 08
Eastern Park 09/10 Port Adelaide in here somewhere
Nuri 11
Hamley Bridge 12
???? 13

Currently 6 in 6
Thought you only dealt in facts Willow ;)

Certainly an interesting pattern developing here.
Probably a player you could do with out if your trying to build your club and take advantage of players losing a point each year they are with you.

Seens as tho there is absolute crap on here i will clear a few things up for you daysofourlifes as it semms clear you have an issue with Craig. What he toweled you up? Somthing does smell like jealousy???

2006- Played league at Sturt (which i'm sure you've done  ) A year in which Craigs close brother and great bloke passed in an accident which hit Craig hard as it would anyone and he couldnt commit to the riggers of league training

So his good mate Mal Greenwood got him out to Tanunda where he played in 2007.

In 2008 he travelled overseas and did'nt play at all.

2009- did Pre-season at Sturt but in his own words just lost the passion for training 3 or 4 times a week at SANFL level when at that stage he wanted to go back to tanunda but there import list was full so Shaun Gatto got him out to Eastern Park where he spent 09 and 2010.

At the end of the 2010 season Port Magpies asked him to do preseason with them for season 2011 which he accepted but went overseas again and enjoyed life a bit to much and came back unfit (who would'nt) at which time Nuri rang him to go play there which he did but did'nt enjoy his time there as he was not in the 'clicky club' and that was not a seen for Craig to get the best footbal out of himself.

which leave us at Hamley this year which Craig enjoys no end but wants to win the ultimate succuss can this be done at Hamley?

So daysofourlifes although maybe you should change you user name to shelteredlife as your that concerned with Craigs playing future. I could find out what colour jocks craig has on today, How many times he has passed wind since 6am of any other pathetic things you need to know to get you through your day???

Not sure we are talking about the same time period westy cause I was coaching Eastern park at the time and the way i explained it was exactly the way it happened mate.....Your version happened when he was 18 at his first attempt at SANFL....the second attempt is my version to the letter but happy to prove that if you require...

and yes your 100% right Clements has a wealth of experience as im sure there are others playing YPFL that also have a wealth of experience at that level but compared to the average player past or present who hasnt played SANFL, 50 games at the highest level is a wealth of experience!!!!

Happy days.....

Didnt realise doing a preseason with a club constituted a season so again by your own calculations your maths are shit!!!! I would say your version would equal 5 in 6yrs....simple maths really but obviously out of some people's abilities....

You need to stop watching soaps during the day and get a job...or at least do a maths course to fill your time...

You summed it up perfectly Carey......

Oh and to finish with i do only deal in facts unlike your sorry self as at least I will add that I could be wrong in my statement (as I did if you open your eye's) because unlike yourself I dont think I know everything!!!!!

Sorry if this makes you look like a footy mercenary maybe you will stay at Hamley Bridge then and prove me wrong, would be good for Hamley to hang onto a player of your calibre for a few years and have some success

Wouldnt imagine why you would think he has something to prove to yourself or even give your thoughts any consideration when making a decission on his footy.....Im sure he wouldnt give you to much thought at all full stop...What have you done to think he needs to prove shit to you?????? Mercenry he aint, because one thing you can bank on with Tails is, as a recruit he gives his heart and soul to the club...Helps he can play a bit to... :-bd

How many blokes with a wealth of SANFL experience like Clements are there running around in the YPFL Westy? Wouldnt have thought too many... Wouldn't have thought there would be too many in the league that have played 1 game of league footy, let alone your wealth of experience.

Getting a little bit picky there Willow? I'll rephrase: "Haughey could possibly be a chance unless Gatto takes votes."
Cougars have won three, lost 1 by a point, losr one by 2 points and a couple by 3 or 4 goal. Hardly a great season for the Cougars, but Haughey has been best for them nearly every week, and stands out in a struggling side. Pretty sure he won the ANZAC medal against Ardrossan, shows he does stand out in that side, and could jag votes in those close losses.

In saying that i think Jordan will win it.

Put what ever spin you like on it but his record of switching clubs tends to point to the fact that he is a mercenary full stop....
Just because he puts his "heart and soul" into the club doesnt mean he isnt.
I wouuld've thought thats something thats expected of every footballer who crosses the line each week

Ardrossan no hope for the mail medal, haughey cougars only chance but gatto will take votes. Mcwaters from the eagles, matson from pasky, lawson Waller and lee from the bloods poll well, jordan from moonta and Osborn from the crows all medal contenders.

Not sure how you could think "Haughy could possibly be a chance if you think Gatto will takes votes"??? Thought there wouldnt be great numbers of votes going cougars way.
Have to be all for one and nothing for the other for either one of them to possibly win... Hard to share a handfull of votes and still think there could possibly be a winner from the cougars...... You would think????? :-?

Getting a little bit picky there Willow? I'll rephrase: "Haughey could possibly be a chance unless Gatto takes votes."
Cougars have won three, lost 1 by a point, losr one by 2 points and a couple by 3 or 4 goal. Hardly a great season for the Cougars, but Haughey has been best for them nearly every week, and stands out in a struggling side. Pretty sure he won the ANZAC medal against Ardrossan, shows he does stand out in that side, and could jag votes in those close losses.

In saying that i think Jordan will win it.[/quote

Yea just having some fun with you CCF....And your right he did win the medal.

My original statement basicly meant I think (and im known to be wrong) that if the medal count is won with a low tally then possibly one of those two from the cougars could sneak in??? On the basis that one of them would pole max votes in their wins and grab a couple in losing games when they still played well. They both would have to have been in their best players nearly every week so far this season. A good achievement in any side whether top or near the bottom. I think it would be a long, long, long shot but funnier things have happened.

By the sounds of it Jordan is a big chance and those that have been involved with this comp a long time would know better than me. So will have some coin on him as well.

I pose the question how do people think Jordan would go at div1 amateur's???? bet salisbury nth would miss his services you think??? :-?
