We haven't got a "team of the year" award per se but I did put together one for the paper last season as a discussion point.

Yeah right would this be one of the only leagues in country footy without a team of the year.

I know you can't fit them all in but from Hamley I think
Appleton, Flynn, Heberle, Taylor, Thach, Zanandrea are all worthy

They apparently have more optimism than me in regards to the existence on HWE in a few years. Hopefully be improving facilities etc it will attract more players up there each week. The re-surfacing of the oval was a success, it looks a million bucks!

im not a local in the area but have been playn in the league a while, the oval in pt wakefield is to small and the oval in lochiel has poor facilities, why not bulldoze the lot and build new facilities a km out of pt wakefield and make it a bigger oval with better facilities

Few tall trees to help block out that late afternoon sun would be nice. Mongrel to play in.

You would be looking at a 1 to 1.5 million dollar project.
At a guess.......
Land Acquisition $500,000
Facilities/Amenities $400,000
Oval Establishment $150,000
Stake holder Consultation $100,000

At a guess HME could sell the 2 Vickers WW1 machine guns that are sitting atop the memorial gates to the Wakefield over. that would get them several $1000.00.... I wonder if they are even decommissioned...
