I'm pretty sure I gave my opinion on the matter which another Two Wells poster agreed with. At the end of the day if the coach thinks your good enough you'll be picked and he has been given the opportunity last year and this year. Are you the informant? Oh I did play a few games before I turned 18.

I would have this under 17 in the A grade side before that Fitzgerald lad.

Apparently he didn't end up at Hamley because he was promised Taylor's midfield spot so he chucked a tantrum and threatened to leave ;)

Is he stalking Taylor or his missus? Hear Taylor's missus doesn't allow Taylor to have his own account.

Parry gets off

Thank you SANFL for dismantling any semblance of integrity for the very policy they adopted last year. May have just as well written a letter to each thug sitting on 14 or 15 games to let them know they'll be ok come de registration time.

I can just see a certain APFL ex player with his anger management application form under one arm and Commission Tribunal form under the other.

Unbelievable.

...and only took them 15 minutes, which would be about 3 minutes thinking time each - reflecting the decision!!

I wonder if these spankers have any idea what they have done to lower tier leagues with de registered players.

A very disappointing precedence set by the SANFL. If the guy was going to retire at the end of this year anyway, why risk the integrity of the rules by overturning the ban?

Stephen Baker ran into this same issue when he went country after his St Kilda career, anyone know the outcome of that case? As I recall it he was suspended early this year (?) in his first couple of games which took him over the games limit and automatic ban was applied.

While playing for the Sorrento Football Club in the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football League in 2013, Baker was suspended for six weeks for unduly rough conduct against an opponent in a pre-season match. The sanction took Baker's total career suspensions beyond the threshold to be automatically deregistered from playing football for life, ending his playing career at all levels. Baker successfully appealed the six-week suspension, enabling him to continue playing.

A total of 28 games suspension in just AFL, which gets cut in half in country. So 14 + the 6 matches from MPNFL, well over the 16 games for deregistration.

Darryl White (Ex Lions) had his life ban overturned last year on appeal. Baker got off the striking charge, so didn't end up exceeding the 16 game limit.

Coming in to the last round, and it looks like Nighthawk has the 2013 APFL Tipping Comp all but stitched up after extending his lead over Hazbeen. The mysterious roodog could sneak into second spot with a good week. A special mention for hanno_7, who has come from the clouds over the past six weeks to get into 4th place, whilst wangas#4 has lost a spot and could be passed again this week by Mythical Creature.

Last round tips!
U 1-39 Flip a coin. Longies have the better form and home ground, but would not surprise anyone if Eagles got up. Tiges need to win the clearances here or they'll get rolled
M 40+ The Magpie juggernaut will roll on despite a good opponent. Mallala prob now at $1.70 for the flag
TW 40+ Nothing for the Peckers to play for here, but to give some more kids a run. Roosters can look to make a statement before the major round
