interesting to see a lot of good colts that filled in for other teams during the yr never got any votes at all, nothing away from the two winners they deserved it but just looking at game by game!!
I know where you're coming from here, but the umpires know who has changed sides and generally discuss this during breaks. If a player is BOG in the first half for team X and plays well enough next half for Team Y, then he'll get all three votes. It's pretty obvious who deserves votes and I see instances where the 3 votes have gone to players representing two teams on the day.
I'd more question how in some of the games players have got 3 votes without getting in any of the best players for their home team?? I'd be looking at that first. The umpires aren't swayed by their own 'little johnnies' running around.
Congrats to the young pecker who also polled his first A Grade vote in his first appearance.
