GSFL Movements

Talk on any country footy league or club from the SA Country area

enough talk about alex jones, he will be a good ruckman over time. The thing to note is that he has only played about 3 years of football, so learning the extreme basics like postioning himself a kick behind play has taken time. Until he's mastered those sort of aspects we cant expect him to be taking 15 marks and dominating games. we spend plenty of time on rucking (and yes there are some people in goolwa that are qualified to teach football), and he takes everything on board and has shown rapid progress.

cant think of too many big guys that are average footy players in gsfl i just think for most its consistancy, braidwood, jones, are fine examples of this. they can definatley play but dont often start fires!

Braidwood inconsistent?? hasnt he kicked 50+ goals in the 4yrs. 3 seasons in wooden spoon sides and last season he played 10 or 11 games

lf, there seems to be a lot of talk about the saints this year hopefully they go better than they did the last few years. Is the big chief back on board or is he still playing at the mighty callington eagles!?

Plenty of talk about the saints purely becuase of the fact we are all in cushy, high paid jobs where we can afford to spend our time on the internet. Having said that it would be nice to here about someone else for a change. Chief is back! Probably didnt go as well at callington as expected, but he is one of the fitest blokes on the track so look out.

Leigh Hirst (good size lad, good grab), probably yet to see his best but very handy, especially if the other big blokes can fire!

Need some input from some other clubs other than E Bay, Goolwa and Willunga. I cant think of any other clubs that get good airtime from someone from there club. Rich Goolwa blokes LF, that how u afford the players?

Kingy the other year was getting a fair bit, im sure Mcclure didnt come for free along with Thiessen, Davey, Cunningham and co.

I am not accusing u guys of paying huge amounts but im sure theres some $$ being transferred and that perfectly acceptable.

we have paid out a bit of coin with no success, but I wouldn't listen to Kingy, he was petrol money only and I reckon that he drove a solar powered thing. J.Howard was previuously a good employer but Ruddy has taken over the reins without much fuss.

I'd be interested to know who does employ some of the major contributors to this forum. I reckon it would be a fair bet that a number of you report to either Mr Rudd or Mr Rann.
