It's going to be another ordinary day on Saturday by the looks - windy and wet. Hopefully they close the roof at Long Plains

Putting the finishing touches on it tonight / tomorrow morning.

The weather should hopefully bring the scores closer, which will suit us being the very heavy underdogs.

I was thinking the same thing,.... but I'm pretty sure SportsBet have us as the "very heavy underdogs". :D

I reckon he is pretty smart. Announce your retirement, miss the pre-season, season starts then come back out of retirement. Might have to try it myself at the end of this year!

Boosts attendance at end of year matches too. #farnham #thelasttimetour

Tips for the week
United - Only because I cannot tip against us. I could completely understand if everyone else tips Mallala.
Two Wells by 32 goals. I know it will be wet theoretically keeping scores lower, however the gap between a side of adults against a team of kids only gets bigger in the wet conditions.
Balaklava by 5 goals - Purely because when it got wet last week was the time we pulled away from Hummocks. Also I think Balaks bottom 6 players are better than the Eagles. Would be very happy to be proven wrong here though and Hummocks take the points..

I'm sensing some perceived pressure on the Tigers tomorrow, possibly from within :? Understandable I guess given the recruitment of 2 ex-AFL listed players, 1 x SANFL league player and the reigning Div 1 Amatuer league Medalist, and the poaching of a former APFL premiership player from a neighbouring club to bolster their stocks. I can't imagine why the Tigers would be feeling any pressure., particulary given Mallala have lost a few from last years team. I guess we'll have to wait and see MC ;) :D

Mallala v United: Pies in an upset by 11 points in another ANZAC day blockbuster.
Two Wells v Hamley: Two Wells by 266 points - Leighton to kick 17
HWE v Balak: HWE by 7 points

There's a battle for the underdog tag before this one even starts.

Mallala - Easily, probably without raising a sweat despite Swamps list of excuses if they do get done
Two Wells - 120 points (apparantly only a one quarter game)
HWE - 3 goals in the game of the day

I would think all the pressure would be on Mallala. Same side as last year minus Whitwell who is over 30, King who couldn't get on the park and a back pocketer with dodgy disposal skills. Replaced by an automatic selection in the past 5 years zone side, state country and Crows top up player Osborn, as well as the inclusion of a whole undefeated senior colts side, Jon Clarke and Gumby Irish. If anything Mallala have significantly improved from last year and are setting the bar quite high for the rest of the field! :D ;)

In comparison to us who have lost a lot of players including Solly, Hood, Beard, Drainer, Thomas, Lovell, Sharer, Brodee Brown, Mikey Brown and Lachy Connor. That's 10 outs replaced by only 5 or 6 guys. If anything we have dropped further behind the pack, especially when you take in last weeks scores in comparison to our scores against Hummocks last year.

Why would his middle name be relevant?
