This bloke can play.

Is this Hayden Fromm also formerly of the Adelaide Plains Football League? Tall bloke with a goatie and tatts?

No he is a Blanchetown Swan Reach local, early 20's, 6 footer, smooth mover with ticks in all the boxes. He played a couple of years with Loxton up until 2006 when doing apprenticeship I think.

Dont know what the connection with Mt Compass is, Dogwatcher may know.

Noticed on the clearances, the Creeks have had 5 OUTs already, surely they'll have to slip quite a bit unless they can get a few gun players with their points allocation.

When I seen Mr Portlock last he looked very comfy and as if he had been in a good grass field!
As all quality blokes and footballers he will once again pose a threat to all GSFL teams all season as he has done in the past.

on encounter bay and portlock - Scott Brown does seem to have his measure and pretty much dominate portlock each time they meet. Its always a bit of a chuckle when you see portlock gettin possesion and possesion every game up until encounter bay and he hardly gets a touch. Scott Brown would have to be one of the best players in the comp but hardly ever gets a mention, why is this?

Except rather than accept

Saints have an interesting 'new' pick up. Played footy for Pembroke in Div 2 but has moved to Goolwa from Adelaide. Surely he is exempt from the point system???

Poor bloke wont be able to play, we have got no points left. Might direct him to the Southern Breakers Soccer Club.

Aren't players who move to a local area generally exempt from points allocation or at least assigned minimal points?

Nope. You will need to apply for exceptional circumstances but the committee will get the final say. Anyone can say a player has just happened to move into the area and just happens to want to play for our club....still 3 points!

But wouldn't the committee investigate the circumstances in which someone moved into the area and if it appears legit then give them a permit, thats what i'm saying.
