That makes no sense observer. Lootsy is not a money man but his price was too high? Elaborate as that contradicts itself. Knowing Lootsy he does not push for the $$. He likes a good club and good people and will generally stick it out through thick and thin.

He will go very well in the SFL aswell, the smaller grounds will suit the in and under style of play that he has and we all know hes quick. Definitely one of the better ball winners in GSFL.

Talk about contradictions BJ. Lootsy is a very good player, no argument there, but sticking "it out through thick and thin". Myponga to McLaren back to Myponga and now at Happy Valley, sorry that is not sticking through thick and thin.

I said generally, he could have left Myponga or not gone there at all but instead he stayed. Hes moved to Happy Valley due to work commitments being the other side of town. U would need to know him before u challenge his motives for moving clubs but i see ur point, but the reasons he has left these places is not because times got tough at the club so he jumps ship. Should have worded it better!!

They were the talk of the league with the clearances and it was all for the wrong reasons. A whole side was cleared in. Good to see Bassani has sat back and sussed out that the local boys are as good as any division 3 footballer.

Not what I heard - they're still up to their old tricks by the sounds of it.

I work with a bloke who plays saafl div 3, is a fringe 'a' grade ruckman who told me EB rang him on the weekend offering him up to $500 a game. can anyone around EB elaborate?

doesn't look like Bassani has sat back for long!!

LovinFooty your mate is clearly a deadset wanker or has some fantasy about the Bass giving him the call up. I wish I had a ruckman's name let alone number!
That type of money would be better suited to splitting it amongst the locals.

I never said he was my mate. I just needed confirmation thats all

Well firstly you lead in with 'upto their old tricks again' then proceeded to tell us about 'a bloke you work with'. Can you let us all know who the fringe A'Grade ruckman is? Since you only work with him and he's not your mate you shouldnt have any trouble dropping his name mate.

Lootsy didnt get a cent last year and drove from Nettly 3 times a week. He has stuck it out with both clubs and the only reason he has left both clubs is because the coaches were not re-appointed. If money was the issue i know he would have got more than the valleys offered. If you've played against him theres a fair chance you've had a run in with him but he wears just as much as he dishes out.

Lootsy plays footy with alot of pride and when he wants the ball he will do anything and go through anyone to get it, if you were his coach i recon you would love to have him in your side. When i have played against him we have had many clashes and both got pretty hot headed, then everytime i have seen him off the field he is a top bloke. Its a big loss for myponga!

Loots is like alot of players , when your pitted against him you hate him , when your his teamate you like him . Bottom line is that he is a good player and that is what s***ts people off . Good luck to him at happy valley .

Hey limb , do you know why porters clearance was refused , unfinancial is the only reason it could have been , creeks with 5 in the out and none on the in . I know simmo will come up with the goods but those 5 outs are pretty big .

Simmo and the Creeks will be spending money like 18yr old Virgin with a fist full of fifty's in Amsterdam - AFTER DARK!

Ofcourse this will start some ridiculous notion amongst the creek faithful that they dont pay big dollars but seriously please save it, its a load of crap remembering that a few clubs have now spoken to similar players of interest etc.

My news is that the creeks are awaiting a final cut from a few blokes at south and ofcourse sanfl contract negs.

Final cut at South. Really if they are getting 'cut' from South then are they going to replace King, Porter, Manual, Hearn and Buckley, i wouldnt think so.

Who cares what they pay, without a salary cap i hope they spend plenty of $$ and get the players they want.

is it true that an old bloke very close to the footy club at langhorne creek died a while back and left everything he owned (including a massive **** winery) in the will for langhorne creek footy club. I have heard a rumour this is where they got all their coin from and also this is where they pull decent players from because they offer them good paying jobs at this winery? Plus pay them a shitload on game day

Anyone from the creek wanna shed some light?

I think a few very interesting rumours need to be put to rest here.. Firstly cuzzy that story about someone leaving a winery to LCFC in his will sounds very nice but unfortunately it isn't the case. Whoever told you that was probably talking about the fact that the club has its own wine producers licence but somehow got the story twisted. Basically a few of the grape growers in the area sponsor the club by way of grape donations. Up until a couple of years ago the club would sell these grapes and whatever money was made went into the club. A couple of years back the club decided to use these donated grapes to bottle their own wine. The money that is made from this project goes towards a range of community groups (eg netball, tennis, cricket clubs, kindy, playgroup, etc). This isn't any big secret either, there was a story about it in the Advertiser when it all came about.

I gotta admit I liked the story about the mythical winery that employs all our players.. sounds a bit like Willy Wonka's chocolate factory and the Oompa Loompas.
