Committees need to realise that they are the first to sack and appoint coaches willy nilly at the end of a season based purely on form so if a coach is going to get the blame no matter the outcome (good or bad) then he needs every opportunity to make or break himself. Trust me there is enough pressure put on coaching before the first bounce, while players can dart in and out of form this cannot be said for coaches who are rightly) so continualy under the pump.
Committee should set off-field and conduct rules, administer the club and then concentrate 99% of its energy on bringing money into the club - the rest is upto the leadership group and the coaching staff. Amazing how good clubs do this well.

GSFL CLEARANCES
Pongy could not afford to lose anyone but Heathy was possibly the most important player to that club. Could play down the spine but as a ruckrover over the past 2 season his skills, intimadation and work rate was really good. Stay tuned because the Huebner and Heath stories arent over![]()
Also Bayliss from the Bays to Jervious. When did this happen??
