Well done. Where did he play after Freeling?

Played Moddies and Mini league and under 15s while still in under 13s for Freeling, then moved down town and played more juniors for Payneham and eventually North Adelaide in the SANFL

Wed night at the AGM it was stated that AK was not going anywhere and had recommitted with Tanunda, he is also denying any of these rumours and publicly stating that he his staying with us, so I'm not too sure about that rumour and all the other ones on this site about AK and the rest of the Tan side. At this stage the only player to leave is Greenwood and they are stating that Agars and Neindorf will be back next season. There is also another big name being chased that will cover Greeny. I would think based on that info that Tanunda will be no push over next season.

Just wondering how the AGM's have been going at other clubs. Very small number at Tan but there was basically no change in the committee. Last I heard Jimmy was leaving South but have not heard if there has been a replacement.

Thanks for the support with the goat sale and if you have any 1 that has a beard tattoo or ponytail that wants a game and doesn't want to feel like he is playin with a bunch of tools tell him to come to Ango where we don't discriminate apart from if you have a head like a rubiks cube. P.S have you watched a game at Tanunda lately? love your Ice skating rink in the middle of a footy oval sooner play at Ango any day.
P.S.S any spare goats you have could you can ring schooby up at the leader office. we will need them to pay Kent Kingsley,Louis Hadden

Don't think there was any malice intended on the bump just one to wake the big fellar up.
Demand respect you earn it.
Sounds like you enjoy the local derbys to much and possibly analise the game through the bottom of an empty bottle of chardonay.

PitBullOfSh1t - thanks for the advice, means a lot coming from u and will take it on board :?
Yes it was just a bump and old "sh1t nickname" came off second best, cant agree more.
Yes love a local derby and a quiet drop. I guess i would rather watch a good skilful game in the sun with a glass of wine, than watch a scrap out in a mud-pool, whilst trying to keep warm in my home made feral cat skin jacket...
Is it still part of the Ango consitution that you must field at least 2 players in your B-grade with a "beard, tatoo and pony tail" combo for each game... ;)
All the best with your funds raising this year (goat herding up in them there hills), i hear you can sell a good goat for about $22 at the Tarlee markets these days. Although you may find it hard to sell off your loved ones....
p.s. chin up princess....

Whatever snoozer must have been a 1 off from diddles it's a great nickname for a great lad never seen any player from Tanunda help out there team mates like him!! maybe only Daryl Gum when I knocked the shit out of Carl Samain 1 year and that was only helping him off the deck best feelin I had on the field after watching him deck countless young lads in the magoo's for years

Diddles Harvey current BLG toughest guy at the moment broke his jaw second qtr at Kapunda played the rest of the game and collected 3 votes.
Catchard also up with the best of them.

pit-bull-sh1t... Harvey is again one of those players that is built like tarzan, but does a little of the playing like Jane. Yes on occasion he will get a hard ball and he does win a lot of posession, but in later years he has sat back a lot and can only kick the ball 25m max. Therefore he is actually not effective at all.
As for the broken jaw, did you know that he actually tried to snipe Kapunda's Brad "Wrangy" Valentine, when Brad had his head over the ball and brad being a genuine "hard at it" player, bounced off Harvey and disposed of the ball (well over 30m i've heard), whilst the man with the gayest name in the comp (Diddles), was left licking his wounds... Hold on, no he was not licking his wounds as he probably coult not his tongue out of his mouth.
TRUE TOUGH PLAYERS ARE NOT THE ONES THAT KNOCK PEOPLE OUT WHEN OTHERS HAVE THIER HEAD OVER THE BALL. THEY ARE THE ONES THAT TACKLE HARD, BREAK THROUGH PACKS AND DEMAND RESPECT, THEY ARE BY NO MEANS FEARED BY OPOSITION, AS THEY PLAY A FAIR GAME.

Danny Westhoff is a gun anyones books not very hard though. I got knocked out by the Doctor (Dean Docherty)in my 3rd Agrade game so will always feel he was a nut! Chalky is by far the power forward that any fullback would tremble at the knees over on a Friday night!!
BEEGRADER wrote:
Plugger04 wrote:Ok we have read about the recent tough guys of the comp , by the way my nomination for hardness at the ball is still Danny Westhoff with Mooky Thomas a close second.

Who was the best power forward in your time ?

Without being biased i would have to say Dean Docherty from Willaston and Danny Deptula from Kapunda.

You sure you played at all Plugger? Danny W great player that he was and whilst never shirked the issue was no harder or tougher than plenty in those days. Cant reall recall Mooky Thomas, was he another of those little Willaston snipers?

Plenty of great forwards in those days but Chalky Trimboli the only one you could call a great power forward. Dean Docherty great in the air and unbeatable on his day but a bit inconsistant. Deptula - No.

Yeah have to agree with you there cheese boy, Chalky was one power forward. He certainly spat a few full backs out that decided to try and get in his way. Reckon I saw that tough harvey boy of yours get thrown out of a pack one game at Tanunda...thought he was going to get hung up in one of those pine trees. Going back to your tough footballers little Jamie Aitken from Nuri and Jonte Rhodes from RSMU were two that spring to mind.

Chalky is probably the only bloke who you wouldn't want to go toe to toe with.
I first meet him going a few spa's at the Mike Tyson boxing school in the US.

Had a fairly uneventful AGM Swooper, running a surplus.
Moderate turnout on previous years with 71 people in attendance.
Only thing to come out is that we’ll have a crack at you boys.
The purse strings should loosen up for 2010.

Cmon boys or girls don't let the truth get in the way of a good rumour. Now the rumours on this site about AK have proved to be untrue, I'm sure the talk will now go onto how much he is getting paid. Those rumours like most will also be untrue. I'm sure that the great Ronny Bailly got the deal over the line.
