Early to say but what the hell.

Tanunda ( not sure who is in and who is out)
Angaston
Barossa ( Has some good players but will have to do with 3rd spot- Will not win a final)
Freeling ( The club will do anything to play finals this season. $$$$$ anything)
Nuri
Cantral
Willaston
South
Kapunda.

That was the years that Barossa didn't win a game in the A's. so the players were not there for the A's & were not there for the B's. I think the team list would be alot better now than what he had 7-8 years ago.

Fuller has 1 more than that

I am not a great lover of Barossa but I must say that Grovermann would be a good pick to assist James. From what I am told is the club is happy with both coaches. Last year was a joke with the likes of Nelson & Fuller. It looked sometimes that Fuller was trying to field a cricket team not a footy team (that showed that the players didn't think much of him). Fuller also tried to get the Barossa 17's job. Thank god he didn't. That would have been sad to let a man like that coach kids. Well that is enough about them they are gone.

Just a quick one. Has Tanunda lost many or any players?

At this stage only Greenwood has left to coach at Freeling, a few to come back, Agars, Neindorf and maybe L Westhoff. So not too bad.

I sense that the Magpies will hurt a little more than is being let on regarding Greenwood departure.
He was the only player that could provide some physical intimidation when required.
Don't expect this to come from Newberry, Schiller etc.
Will the soft underbelly of the Magpies be exposed in 2010.
Only time will tell.

The Magpies have been a step ahead of the rest of the pack for the past few years. I still think they will be on top next season. From what I hear is that other teams haven't picked up the players to match Tanunda. But time will tell.

have teams started or when are they starting pre-season.
Barossa - 3 training nights so far, then start on the 11th.
other teams ????????

Greenwood will be missed in that department but players like Kaesler, Prior & even Wells (he has a crack) are pretty good at intimidating other sides. Schiller is one of the toughest players around, he puts his head over the ball without fear and gets knocked around accordingly. He doesn't swing his fists around like some but he is tough. Osama having a look at your mob doesn't exactly read too well in tough department though, you have a couple of good intimidators but thats it, in fact most sides in this league don't have too many so I think Tanunda's underbelly is looking pretty good.

Agree with Osama. Greeny is welcome with open arms at the legs and will be hard to replace for the pies.
Swooper is clearly out of touch with the competition. Kaelsler was a B Grade footballer 2 yeras ago, Prior X 2 are NEFL player and Wells is a POWDER PUFF at best. Osamas mob look to have the intimidation factor over the pies in 2010. Look forward to see the BTrain soon!!!!

Tanunda - still a formidable lineup, some big ageing frames so injury might be only concern
Angaston - some big names bandied around the grapevines , starting to match the magpies in budget should go close.
Willaston - seelander to improve on last year , but will need to win some games early
Central - still have enough to talent to kick a winning score , but can they defend one

Barossa - roger the x factor , but not enough to get them going
Kapunda - bombers always put a few games together at dutton park
Nuri - what goes up must come down
Freeling - will get off the bottom , but surely not even freeling could buy their way out of that form last year
South - no comment
The writing is on the wall - learn to read and you might survive

Looks like your the one out of touch with those comments. Kaesler had an outstanding season last year and was easily in Tans top 6. AJ Prior is a very tough player his brother not so and as I said Wells has a crack and at least everyone knows he is out there.

For info purposes...
Spies tell me a fair few young blokes (ex Kapunda colts) are headed back to Bomberland for the new season. Don't know if there are any stars amongst them (although Matthew May played reserves at CDFC) but they will add depth to that club.

No names given out, but their recruiting boys have a couple of very decent players also nibbling the bait apparently. Have to wait and see.

On top of the signing of Duldig to Angaston, info has it that Millicent player and WBfl interleague rep and also a SE & Murray zone representitive Phil Bennett will join Duldig at the panthers this season. Bennett enjoyed a fruitful two yrs w the Millicent saints and should be a big plus in the Barossa.
Standing around 6'1 to 6'2 in the old scale Bennett is an attacking defender or could be used as a KPP if need be.
