Similar to the Collingwood v Port scenario. South should find an alternative away strip when playing Angaston.

Duke, more like the collingwood v kangaroos we saw 2nite, think the poofy pale blue would suit south. And not just an away strip an alternative one when they play angaston at home as well

Had Nobby and his constabultory in attendence to watch the game.
Had a quiet beer and word with Nobby at the half time break.
There was discussion regarding South's need to change their strip for all games against Angaston.

Angaston gave South a football lesson with a clinical 54 point drubbing.
Duldig took home the McGrath medal.
Week off this week for Coach Hadden and his charges, looking forward to face off against Mal Maninga's boys in two weeks time with a near full compliment at the selection table.

Good win by the boys yesterday, Greeny and Schuby kicking 10 between them. Should go back to back this week against South Gawler.

Just a question, why would it have to be South to change there guernsey, couldn't Angaston also have an alternative strip.

I agree, both clubs should have an alternative strip.
Besides the jumper issue there were some good signs for South Gawler. The difference between their 'Top Tier' and their 'First Tier' players is glaring, but some solid performances from Porter, Scott, Bayliss and Paget would have made the Coach very happy. These Guys didn't drop their heads at all and kept running, chasing and tackling for 4 qtrs.
Dawes and Duldig were stand out performers for Angaston and the Medal winner was never really in doubt after half time.
As a new-comer to this league, I have to comment on the presentation of the Grounds that I have attended so far. They have all been in excellent condition with great facilities for supporters.

Angaston are a foundation club of the former Barossa & Light competition and have no need to change.
Should have been further investigated when South joined the competition back in the 80's.

Dead right.Isnt that why Gawler Central had to change from predominantly black to predominantly yellow when we joined?

NO, you'll find Willaston have to waer an alternative jumper against Freeling because they're normal navy blue with the red V clahes with Freeling. So because Freeling was in competition before Willaston they have to wear different top against them.

In a 9 team competition I find it astounding that there are two guernsey clashes, I know you can't change history or tradition but surely there could be a meeting between all of the clubs and work out something that could please everybody.
I think it's healthy for clubs to change their guernsey's every so often anyway, having two strips isn't out of the question anyway, around $2500 per team isn't huge in comparison to gate takings and player payments etc.
Just my 2c worth anyway, btw, well done to Freeling.

I think you will find $2,500- per team is a huge amount for some clubs and for that on new guernseys may be money that can't be justified. Although some clubs spend this plus lots more on putting some players on the field each week.
The clubs that can afford it may need new jumpers at the end of each season after winning the flag anyway but that is due to giving the jumpers to premiership players. Winning the premiership is obviously a sign of success and therefore funds would be sufficient to buy the jumpers.
