Wil v Sth = Clash of the wooden spoon challenges. Willaston has been destroyed with injuries to key players and if South can put together the same effort as last week then South will get up by 3-4 goal

Which players have Willaston lost other than Baker? Basically they've have fallen behind the pack from 2009 and teams like us and South have recruited.

Basically the major ones are to the midfield and forward line - baker, tosold, kreig, mitchell, cole, whiston..

Willaston beat freeling by 4 goal without cole or mitchell so wouldnt read too much into the dooms day theories about the donnybrooks future. Goes to show the impact injuries to key players can have on teams at this level of footy.

The boys that are being picked each week are having a crack and not disgracing themselves, the club doesn't ask much more than that when the list gets turned upside down.

Finals might be dead and buried but there is still plenty to play for to avoid the wooden spoon, that's one award willaston are yet to win.

According to the barracker Angaston have a new General of the backlines in Bennett,
He has done well to progress to that rank in just 3 short games, may be Chancellor or Living God come round 13.
Would be nice if we could get the boy on the park for 2 weeks in a row, work commitments meaning in 1 week
out the next. Guess thats army life for you.

McMillan been alright after going into the midfield. I think Buhlmann might get first crack to Hahn.

McMillan has been in a good vein of form for the last 3 games. Has done some good work through the midfield. Has a fair turn of pace when he gets some momentum. I think he is a good match up on Hahn because of his body shape and closing speed. Will have some strength to compete when it hits the ground. The thing about Hahn is that hes not a one trick pony as he can kick goals in a variety of ways. Buhlmann would be a good option to, although Id play him in front of Hahn, so they have to lift their kick and not flat on the lead. Either way he will be hard to stop. The mids will have to do their bit.

I wonder if the lunatics have taken over the asylum out there, and Olly wants to go out with his own sanity in place. Why isnt Days out there this year ? Tosold was never going to work.

Stewie Griffin wrote:Word is out that Zoolander has given the Willaston job the flick at end of year,
Injuries devastating what MAY have been a reasonable year, latest on the list 'recruit' Tosold with AC/Shoulder for the season.
Who would've thought we would be saying South by how much.........
Questions would need to be asked at Willaston though as to why the juniors don't seem to progress to solid senior players,
they do at Gawler Centrals who enjoy continued success despite losses of quality players during the off-season.
Rumour has it that Benny Burgess may be close to A-grade selection for Ango this week, apparently wants to convert
to a defender so he can play next to his football idol..........the General.

One would suggets that tomorrow's game against South could be one of the most important games in the clubs short BL&G history.
Speaking to Olly recently I don't expect him to take tomorrows game lightly.

Well i'd doubt Olly would want to go down in willaston history as the only coach to win a wooden spoon at willaston even the great Matt Gibbons hasn't got that on his resume.

The backroom boys have much to answer for at Willaston
For years the club has been ran by these people, for their own ego's, rather than whats best for the club
Compliments to J Puro who is trying to change things
My gut feeling is no matter what he does will be underminded by these individuals

Comes from the Njabjuri tribe from northern Australia.
Remember seeing him play underage at Centrals.
Was a smooth mover back then, will watch with interest.

Tanunda gave Ango a good old fashioned spanking yesterday. Ango do tend to come good towards the end of the season but from what I saw they have a long way to go to be up there with Tanunda and Barossa.

Is it just a coincidence that Simon Koch is no longer at Willaston and the Donnybrooks find themselves at the bottom of the premiership table. I heard rumours that he has been the mastermind and string puller for several years but thought that it was a joke, Maybe it wasn't!!!! ;)

Ang v Will - If Angaston wnat to make the finals they need to demolish the injured ravaged Donnybrooks.
Bar v SG - Barossa to send the Lions back to reality.
Nuri v Kap - Bombers to cause an upset.
Tan v Free - It will be a closer game than the last time they met, Greenwood against his fromer club will be good to watch.

No co-incidence the Donnys are struggling without the big man,
in a similar vein, it is no co-incidence that the Angaston B-grade is thriving this year with the
return of the great white hope Benny Burgess to the playing ranks.
Also, how about the return of the Man of Iron Craig Harvey on the weekend, slots into the best 1st game back,
No doubt the umpires found a vote or 2 for their old favourite somehow.
