Yes Matty did play. IMO he needed the hit out as i believe he only had the 1 training session (Thursday Night) before the game. Played up forward with the occasional spell on the ball. The longer the game went the better he seemed to get. Should be cherry ripe come finals time.

Well there are some interesting whispers doing the rounds that yes, he may well be cherry ripe come finals time, but for the other 'Central' in his life, the one in the SANFL !!??

Apparently was meeting with CDFC coach Roy Laird during this weeki to discuss it further?

Trained last night with Gawler Central.

With him already cleared from CD to GC and the deadline of 30th June already passed wouldn't he require another clearance back to CD? Not sure how that would work if indeed he would need to be cleared back to CD.

Yeah, not sure what the situation is there with the clearance mate?

Don't be surprised to see him named for the Doggies reserves this weekend, just a little whisper I've heard???

Will be at training at GC tonight so will see what i can or cant find out.

On a side note does anyone know what is going on at Centrals at Junior level?
Centrals U/15 country development squad was well below the best team they could of selected and speaking to several parents it seems some of the better players had no interest in playing under the selected coach. To see the team not kick a goal against North on the Wednesday was disappointing to say the least with several players playing out of position. The Tuesday game against Norwood when 5 goals up at 3/4 time and after keeping Norwood to 1 solitary Goal in the first 3 quarters they tried to save the game instead of the attacking style that got them into the position they were in and ended up losing.

Why would Centrals pick an under 17s coach to coach the U/15 development squad. This coach only sees between 1 quarter to a half a game of the U/15s each week before heading to the change rooms to prepare for his own teams game and would know very little of the strengths/weakness of an individual player.
Surely you would be better off selecting a current U/15 coach who sees every opposition player as well as his own team each week.

My opinion that just seems to be repeated by so many people who witnessed these 3 games the lads played in.

Would this be the great man that coaches the b grade at barossa?

Not sure if your asking who the coach is or who i am?

If your asking who i am then NO im not a coach at Barossa. Not a coach anywhere for that matter!

If your asking who the coach of the U/15 country development squad is then its M.Herrman the current coach of G.C U/17s

IF he plays for Centrals!

What does this decision say to the Juniors at Centrals that have played ressies or league all year. Also doesnt do much for Junior development at a club where Junior Development is already poor.

16s and 18s struggling this year. U/15 Country Development squad well below par this year (didnt have the best players picked or wanting to play as well as most players being played out of position, went goalless in their last game). When Scott Stevens states that over 75% of Centrals League players are a product of their local leagues and Junior squads then things arent all as good as it may seem long term at the Ponderosa.

Matt Slade has changed his mind, for now, about the comeback with the Dogs and will line up for GC tomorrow...

Freeling v South Gawler - Redlegs to keep the pressure on Angaston in fourth spot with solid win (49 points)
Tanunda v Nuriootpa - Even with three or four first name players missing the Magpies will still win and keep the Tigers dismal month conituing (35 points)
Gawler Central v Kapunda - Should smash the Bombers who were less than impressive last week with their defensive game style (60 points)
Willaston v Barossa Districts - Will get back in the winners list, but surprises can happen (23 points)

Big question this week is will the Ango boys risk Clark Kent and Sliding Dawes hamstrings against Freeling this week. If they go again you would think that would be the last you would see of them this year which would be a big blow to their chances. Will Ango put King Kent on ice until the last round and then qualify for finals ?

Speaking to Coach Hadden over the weekend, cant imagine he’ll run the risk.
Considering the game has relatively no significance on shaping the final four...
