My Tips for the round are

Southto beat Barossa - After there win against willaston tey should be looking to have a good win against a side who will struggle to make the 4
Nuri over Angaston - Blowout of the round nuri to win by 10+ Goals and cement a spot in the top 4
Kapunda to beat Freeling - If kapunda want to stay in touch of the top 4 they will need to win and win well, Greenwood needs some consistant results.
Tanunda to beat Willaston- Although willaston would be looking forward to this clash i think you will see the difference between the 2 best sides in the comp this year. Match of the round Billy Wells to give the blockheads first use and that could be enough. Tanunda by 6pts

Hot you seem to know a lot about Willaston and the league offcials bending rules but have given us all very little info to suggest your allegations are true.
How about telling us what rules they are bending as I think your info is incorrect and no rules have been breached or bent and it may be a case of sour grapes from yourself

Could it be a Johncock/Agars match up this week?????
Johncock is definitely ZERO points.
Brown wasnt sacked, he spat the dummy after being dropped to the ressies or as some like to say on here rotated.
I think u will also find they havnt used their 15 points in any game as yet.
Swooper how many seasons was Taylor at tanunda for? im surprised if he had played the 25 games that Tanunda didnt want him

I think it was only one season Days, certainly would not be a local and nor should he be considered one. Tanunda do not have any points anyway so I don't think he could be recruited, great lad but he does have some baggage with him on game days.

I do find it quite amusing now that the attention is on Willastons recruiting, seem to remember some of the Willaston boys and others giving me a hard time on here over the past few years. Anyway I won't give you any crap about recruiting as it would make me look a little hypercritical, something to think about to all who criticise but then turn around and do the same thing a few seasons later.[/quote]

Ah yes but your recruiting was making a mockery of the import system, at least now all recruiting is transparent. Tanunda was a very attractive place ti live and work for a couple years there swooper. No coincidence that no gun players have moved into the town in the last 2 years
Does anyone know how nuri have Ellison, Taylor, D.Craggsapsford and Hamilton, all would be 3 points and they have a 9 point allocation. Pretty sure they arnt playing 3 u17,s each week?

Days would like to know how our recruiting made a mockery of the system, Tanunda only brought in a small handfull of recruits who have made the club their home (eg. Britton, Newberry, Prior, Kaesler), we did however spend a lot trying to keep our outstanding local guns (eg. Wells, Agars, Kennedy, Schiller x 2 etc), we where also very lucky to have some great players move into the area (eg. Underwood boys), to put it simply it was just came together very well. I just love how the biggest critics of Tanunda's recruiting are now trying to defend their position.

I'll explain what I think the Donnies have done with their recruiting. They have exposed a loophole in the system, which doesnt count A1 reserve players as any points. If they played a majority of games in the reserves they are 0 points. Got a feeling they might close that little loophole next season. Bottom line is, any system in place, clubs will find a way to get around it to some extent.

With all due respect Tanunda has done very well to recruit and move players into the area.
Without these blokes the premierships wouldn't have happened.

Locals:
Wells, Gann, L Agars, Liersch, Fechner, Bignell, Bergen, Schiller, Groecke, Kruger, Rogash, Hamra
Mexicans:
C Underwood, M Underwood, Newberry, Schmidt, Kaesler, Britton, Prior, Bevan.

9 of their 11 best players are imported to the club. Many other clubs host a list of more dynamic players than the four cornered craniums.
Would be interesting to compare other clubs top 10 locals and compare. You may be surprised

In other news.....Heard a whisper that Brett Woodards is being sought after by Nuriootpa for next year,
apparently they are counting on Ango's charitable nature to not oppose the move.
According to sources he believes that wearing the black and Yellow at Southern Flinders brings out his eyes and highlights his adonis-like physique and now will only play for teams of that colour.
He will be demanding a $5000 sign on fee, just so he feels like he gets value for his autograph.
Also, growing pressure at Angaston for Matthew Doecke to step aside as Captain and Jarred Rathjen to
ascend to the throne, has the full support of the players who feel it is Rabbit's time.
There are already comparisons of him to Brett Kirk from Sydney....the clock is ticking Matthew.

Growing speculation that Nobby's also earmarked Rathjen for zone honors.
While on the topic of Rathjen, I would expect Taylor, Salter and Nicholls to share the load in shutting down Rathjen tomorrow. Currently in career best form.
Also, expect the anticipated race for Dogga Woodards ink in 2012 will be the most sort after signature in SA country footy.

All have good points but Tanunda unlike Freeling have managed to recruit players that hang around unlike Freeling who recruited a bunch of mecenaries a few years ago who rocked up, played, grabbed their money and then left. Big difference is also that Freeling had no depth through this period which really cost the premiership. However I do think Freeling is now on the right track and the big Muscle Man Mal is the man for the job. I do also find it interesting that some of your biggest critics Swoopy Poopy are now trying to defend their own position with some of your own reasons over the past few years.

Wheres Osama? Stewie I hope all is well with the great man. Stewie did notice somewehere the other day that yourself & your better half are expecting, must be close, good luck with it. Do concur that Rathjen is a great player but I do believe Doecke will see out the season, would be fitting for the man who owes this league nothing.

My extemely better half had a little boy nearly 3 weeks ago Skip, all going nicely,
the ink has already dried on the father-son rule contract too.
Rathjen, had a fine 'leaders' game today as the pressure continues to mount on Doecke.

Went to watch Tan v Willaston yesterday and saw the most undisciplined player in the BLGFA history Les Baker carry on as though he is Mike Tyson and give 4 50's away get yellow carded and then red carded.
If Willaston are going to be a part of the finals this year they must immediately show him the door and mark his clearance papers never to return.
When he went of his nut his brother wants to protect him and he loose his focus and becomes ineffective as well.
What a pity he is so undisciplined as he can play when he concentrates on the ball.
The Lions season seems over now they got hammered by Barossa and who would have tipped Angaston to win apart from Media Mike.
Kapunda still in running with a good win over Freeling.
Tanunda back to there best against Willaston and seem to have a strangehold on the cup again in 2011.
Billy Wells back to his best and destryed big Jones and Rosewall.

I also went to have a look at what i thought was going to be a cracker of a contest between Tanunda and Willaston. Willaston started very well kicking the first couple than the riff raff started. I could count 6-7 50m penalty's that resulted in tanunda goals. I would suggest 4-5 of them were " Bakers" involments. You could see from a mile away all the tanunda players were trying to do was get in the face of the baker boys knowing they were going to snap and do something silly. Willaston's powers to be would have to be feed up with the crap that went on yesterday it cost them the football game. Tanunda very impressive yesterday. Played for one another and not on selfish act from one player.

Panthers were to good from the getgo, all played well.
Nuri has employed a suspicious game plan, needs to be modified when their under the pump.
Managed to venutre over to the Nuri huddle to listen to the 3/4 time address from a groggy Salter.
To my amusement he intimately reflected on Brandon "The Body" Kurtz's courage and game... Stewie?

Not sure if we will see L.Baker in a Willaston jumper ever again, understand that the coach was shattered and beleive he was on his last chance after his R1 exploits against Kapunda.
Didnt think Wells had any influence in the result and was soundly beaten by Rosewell and Jones.Tanunda still the bench mark for 2011

Maybe, Richie Rich was the selector for the Kleinig medal the week before.
Wells was also soundly beaten by his opponent and Bignall missed out on being awarded the Kleinig medal.
The big fella is struggling to find his feet in 2011. IMO

Mr Baker, what have you done this time?
Is the donnybrook machine about to self implode.
I hear the sound of mayday, mayday coming from Pinchy Hitter.

Several little birdies told me after the game that at 3/4 time Coach Salts wasn't happy that his
team was kicking the ball to me a bit and he had a few choice words to say about me.
I think his team took it on board as much as I did as they kept doing it in the last quarter.
Didn't realise Natty had so much ill-feeling toward me, I heard he even dropped the c-bomb...ouch.

Long time out of the saddle for me, but I'm back! In response to the Les Baker thing, my spies tell me he was VERY close to being told to get changed during that round 1 match against Kapunda and not come back.
Will be interesting to see if he is named this week.....

Seems no comments from Donnybrook supporters on behaviour of Baker on Saturday may mean that even the most ardent Donnybrook supporter has had enough of his antics and will not even support one of there own.
Donnybrooks will be better team without him as brother Shaun will play better, less goals from 50's and less umpires turning on them for his stupidity.
Good to see Steve Lubcke appointment as Eastern Zone coach.
Did a great job with Tanunda and deserves the opportunity to coach at the next level.
