Would find it hard to believe Newbs given cheap shots...is a class act and has a cool head on his shoulders

Has struggled for touch this year compared to previous years form. Perhaps frustrations getting the better of him.

Just quietly, exactly how good are Kapunda? They pushed Gawler Central and Tanunda on their home grounds either side of a (then) surprise loss to Nuri. Gave Ango a bit of a touch up on the weekend also. If Willaston is on the slide (yet to be proved) and Kapunda plays Tanunda and Central at home at Dutton Park in the second half of the season, the Bombers may be looking at being very strong contenders at the fat end of the season.

We are at the halfway point of the home and away season, so it's time for midseason reviews! Here's mine.
Tanunda - Still very good. Had its hiccup v Gaw Cent and got back on the bike. The aura may no longer be there, but are premiership faves still
Gawler Central - Defied the pre season midfield losses to continue winning. Susceptible to man on man game, but mobile talls are a huge asset
Willaston - Started like a house on fire, but are the Donnies fizzling now? A lot of class players and should still be thereabouts unless a complete implosion happens
Kapunda - Some good results but are they ready yet? Couple of smart recruits mixed with some very good kids. Need to win the big games, but a definite smoky
Barossa District - Two of its four wins have been by one point. Where they are (mid table) is probably right. Also blooding a lot of young bucks and may not rise this season
Nuriootpa - Who knows? Some upset wins and some surprise losses. Consistency is the problem, but well in the mix for a finals spot if they are regular with their best footy
Angaston - Also started the season well, but not winning often enough. May be off the pace of the last two years and will miss the major round
Freeling - Year of promise has gone to the crapper with injuries. Will get players back soon, but the damage is done. Could upset some teams yet though
South Gawler - Finally starting to get some joy from all the junior premierships. No team can take the Lions lightly, but maybe next year they will fully blossom

Injuries have taken a few players out of the side and the side is still adjusting to each other, so hopefully come finals time, they are in the finals, an given some time, they could challenge. I dont think this year was going to promise a premiership, but to begin good times for the future. Anyway the B's are still undefeated and doing well, also have injuries and plenty of ins and outs come saturdays, so with a settled side they are premiership fav for sure, but not many paople out there care to much about reserves footy lol

Walton is solid, but a little way off the competition elite.
Maybe another few years.

Not necessarily BL&GFL, but...she is a Gawler girl

Check out this week's Football People story on Gawler girl Brittany Perry. Only 17 years old, she played for South Australia in the national women's championships last week

Which club has had its players hold a crisis meeting recently??

Heard the same story and looks like another Gawler club ready to implode.
Thought being second on the ladder would see a happy group of players but seems several players don't like Wakka's methods and are trying to get rid of him and bring in Ben Walton as a replacement.
Where has Les Baker ended up going?

This weeks winners

Kap v Willaston Kap very good team and will put another nail in Willaston's coffin winning by 6 goals
Tan V Bar Tanunda to win easily by 10 goals
South v Nuriootpa South in upset by 2 goals
Ang v Centrals What ango team turns up this week and will Centrals have a united front-Centrals by 16 points

I was at the Angaston Vs Gawler Central game today.
Spectators veiw and hear a lot of things that players dont.
Standing behind the Gawler Centrals box was their old regulars swearing and carrying on like they do every week.
If Wacca or any coach is to stay and be successfull they need to get them under control or tell them to look in the Sunday Mail at the results.

Would be hard to understand why Wacka would be under pressure,
don't think too many of us thought Gawler would be real strong this year,
yet they are 2nd with 2 losses and have beaten Tanunda.
Think their methods might be not that bad after all.

The ex Gepps Cross midfielder at Centrals is about to walk if there isnt change at the top.

Central weren't world beaters yesterday, but Wacka got the job done.
They will need to find a little more to get over Tanunda come September.
Think you may find Wacka will have the support from the people that matter, not a Johnny come lately from Gepps X.
Panthers comprehensively beat the tigers around the stoppages, but Central had more firepower when the job needed to be done around the ground.
Howard has now overtaken Wells as the premier ruckman in the competition.

Watched Centrals v Ango yesterday and if it was not for Wakka's coaching Ango would have got up.
If Blakemore wants to leave let him go as he is obviously stirring the pot and this will only derail the only team that can beat Tanunda this year.Wakka is a quality person and a good coach that puts 110% into his coaching.Agree the distractions from some of his supporters is enough to put anyone of there thinking but he is the man to get the job done at the Gawler Tigers.
Willaston good win against Kapunda in a game that I am told was a great contest all day with both teams having a fair dinkum attack on the ball.Brady seems to be getting better the older he gets and I am told was clearly best on ground.
Great round of footy again and what a clash next week between the Gawler Tigers and the Donnybrooks at the dog track.
Will Johncock line up this week for the Donnies as I have been reliably informed???????

From what I saw yesterday they would lose nothing by letting Blakemore walk.
Wacka by far a bigger influence on Centrals than him.
Ango very good yesterday, sadly another close one that go away.

Player crisis meeting held on Thursday called by captain, believes the coach wont listen to his opinion, the skippers job should be to kick goals and lead the boys. 7-2 record must be not good enough for some????

Interested to see where Chad Norsworthy ends up after walking out on Sturt friday. Sure Willaston can find a spot for him and Johncock this weekend
