Milligan "walks" from another club... Before he was pushed again no doubt!

Does it the perfect week, to avoid the clash with Kapunda at Kapunda. Must have found out it was sponsor's day!!! Can imagine some of the quality heckling aimed at Spike, coming from the sponsors tent nicely set up next to the opposition coaches box.

Interesting words Scoop, I would of thought the walk would have been more of a push and shove from the higher orders of the club...

The first one was a big enough joke for the league let alone a second one.

Only a man with a brain the size of a bulimic aphid would claim Harvey didnt deserve his medal,
was runner up on 2 other seperate occassions and regularly is a high poller.
Would rate Diddles as one of the best footballers I have played with.
The age question at Angaston seems to be the hot-topic in footy at the moment (Why?????).
apparently there was a bet on at Kapunda as to certain ages of some of the boys.
Needless to say there are some older boys that still think they are children at Ango, must be the clean mountain air.
For the Record Doecke is the oldest by 6 months and he is 36, Kurtz 36, Harvey 32, Rabbit Rathjen 44,
Rathjen probably has the most years left too, I don't know how he does it.

All sounds a bit familiar with Spike - at least he stayed the year at Kapunda. Wonder who he's signed to coach next year?

Maybe you’re the one who who can’t see past your own nose.
If Agars wasn’t the best player in the comp last year then maybe
I’ve got any idea.
I’d pick Agars before Harvey every time.

Spike getting the flick no surprise and bewildered when South took him on after his complete failure at Kapunda.
Great on theory of the game but if players can't understand all the high tech innovations he brings with him then he is a failure as he has no communications skills.
South committeee cleaning out players coaches left right and centre.
They should chase Craig Hiskins as a replacement he is fantastic coaching material and been away from the club long enough to only know a few of the players.

This weeks winners

Freeling v Ang freeling by 2 goals-need to contain Harvey
Cen v Will centrals to win comfortably by 7 goals
Kap v South Kapunda good team and will win by 4 goals
bar v nuri nuri to strong to win by 2 goals

expect a couple of late clearances to show up in the next few days

Just who are these late clearances? Maybe at Willaston and Nuri?
Anyway, this week should we expect any shocks, or has the season settled after last week?
I doubt it...
Freeling will beat Angaston - they have to, to keep season alive; close one
Willaston to beat Centrals - a few too many rumblings to be rumours at Centrals. Donny's back on track after hit out last week.
Kapunda to beat South - sponsor's day at the Park and too important for Bombers to lose; big margin.
Barossa will beat Nuri - a few handy players back for Dogs; Nuri's system easy to break down, but why haven't teams pressured them at the back? Close though.

As usual, it's anyone's guess this week.

Freeling v Angaston - If Mal and his lads want any say in this years finals series they have to win this one. Freeling by 11pts
Willaston v Centrals - Willaston won easy against centrals last time around but are not playing the footy they started the season with. Match of the round Centrals by 4 goals
Kapunda v South - Could get ugly for south, 11 goals to kapunda
Barossa v Nuri - Must win for the doggies or they could lose touch of the top 4.

What was the outcome from the so called players revolt meeting at the dog track? haven't heard anything about this just yet, probably means Wacka remains in his job, as he should.

Brook, I agree Sammy Agars is a good player and has done quite well at Westys this year,
However, the medal isn't awarded for performances in the first 6 rounds.
Sammy ran out of steam about then, probably due to playin in the N.T during the off-season.
Harvey was the standout for the WHOLE season.
So to summise...No, you don't have any idea.
Meanwhile aren't Freeling 2-6?, why is everyone posting that they need to win to stay in the race,
their season died 2 weeks ago. Ango are 1 loss away from curtains as well at 3 wins.

Skip

Actually, cream cheese (p.307) also has egg on him. The crisis meeting was at South Gawler - not Gawler Central - and led to the Milligan decision. There is no issue at the dog track.

You better look again, i’m pretty sure he missed a few games early, so it
Wasn’t the whole season. He was lucky to play 10 games.

Freeling v Angaston Angaston with more to play for
Willaston v Centrals This game is won in the ruck centrals has the better.
Kapunda v South Coaches leaving halfway thru the year never a good thing.
Barossa v Nuri At home the only difference

Question.
If Willaston play off in a G.F. this year what will happen to all the points
Assuming the league gave them concession points on top of their normal
Points does this mean they lose the concession points as well as the
Standard allocation.

I am not 100% on this Stewie, but will back ya up here, as diddles a big time player for Angaston... Didn't he miss the first 6 games of the season? and still won the medal. Would say he may have been slightly inconsistent on his return, max votes in 6 games, none in the other 4. lol

Historically, looking a the last ten years or so:-

When clubs are given major concessions, and spend up big, unfortunately the development of the junior talent coming through tends to suffer.

One glaring example would have to be Freeling through the first decade of this new millennium. Were loaded up in the bank, and stacked with talented, yet imported players. 3 grand finals, no premierships. And the following years were gloomy bottoming out due to lack of funds, and mostly lack of experience and talented youngsters, that are only just now starting to get the games into them to be competitive, 5 years later.

Willaston's situation is not completely different, but only 1 season in, time will tell.

He missed 6 games with a broken jaw Brook, not inconsistent form.
If you work that thing any harder you will rip the head off,
The result is in the book either way sweetheart, so irrelevant points are worth their weight in poo.

Don't know what your issue is with Harvey but well deserved medal winner last year and probably unlucky not to have two or three in his collection. Only saw the 2nd half of todays game and he would have been BOG today, Rd 11 Freeling v Angaston - 3 votes, C. Harvey Angaston. On that why the hell isn't he in the zone squad, best midfielder running around the Barossa at the moment.

no doubt diddles put his hand up to use the week off to rest the body.

Thankfully players get the option when Zone representation is involved. I would assume the same would apply to many older folk in the BLG, like Nathan Brady from Kapunda.
