Hot stop crying as Osam said if Agars was one of your players the rule would be the best thing since sliced bread.
Why stop players that are registered with a BLGFA club, played juniors for the club, has no points allocated to him if he comes back in round 2 , 4 or 10.
Any decent coaching panel would have know he would be back and planned accordingly

This weeks winners

Willaston v Freeling if the Donnies are to be considered a challenge to Tan they must flog Freeling-Donnies by 10 goals
South v Centrals South in a upset-tigers injury problems and knives getting sharper for wakka-loss and he may well be joining Spike
Tan V Nuri close game but Tan to win by 4 goals
Bar v Kapunda if played at Kap would win but down at willaimstown Doggies by 3 goals

Anyone going up to Pirie to watch the Country Champs
Never been before but might head up on Saturday and barrack for the Tanunda boys that are again all playing and make up nearly a third of the Zone team.

Dont think I'll waste my time with the kick and giggle carnival. I might take the opportunity to watch a game in another league.
Are you catching a ride with Laubke Uncle Sam since he's driving the mini bus to Pirie.

The interim coach is captain Aaron Bayliss with support from the senior playing group Danny Lee, Ryan Porter and Heath Lawry. Whilst it was a shock no doubt, it as a fresh start and renewed enthusiasm for the Lions who are no longer the easy beats and have lots to play for in the remaining 7 games!!!

so... why did he walk ?

Back on the South saga i read with interest in the herald that a south commitee person peter bain thinks that south are in a better position than what they were 2 years ago, lets face it they have not done anything for the last 10 years or so but to think that you are in a better place now is a joke isnt it??? looking from the outside in they are bottom of the ladder, have no coach and are prob spending more money than theyever have in the past. Maybe the prob down at south isnt the coaches that have gone through the place just maybe there are other issues down there!!! comments anyone

Not sure why they play zone football waste of time and money.
Blind Harry could of coached Tanunda the last 3 years and Laubke walked into a side ready to go and $$ behind him.
The only thing he won at Barossa was a wooden spoon.
If it is about development why don't they do it with the coach as well.
eg Hadden,Dawe.

Good effort from South today, lost by 15 points despite having 5 more scoring shots. Just lacked a bit of class and someone to hold Bova. Highlight of day was when the south faithfull were giving it to hahn about knifing wacka, someone from the crowd then yelled out "so who is in charge down there" and hahn smiled and pointed to himself, was pissing myself laughing. Good local derby with a bit of niggle and biffo through the match aswell as the usual cheap shots by souter.

Redlegs were brilliant beating Willaston for the second time this year.
From what I've seen from Willaston, their the best of a bad bunch and won't make any noise come September.

Keep in mind that 6 players have to be in the under 21 year old bracket:

BLG– Phil Bennett (Angaston); Malcolm Greenwood, Shane Schubert, Luke Mensforth (Freeling); Andrew Turrell, Justin Zanandrea* (Kapunda); Billy Nicholls (Nuriootpa); Matthew Underwood, Andrew Prior, Luke Wells, Nick Schmidt, Ryan Bignell, Leigh Westhoff, Ben Schiller* (Tanunda); Josh Taylor, Joel Campbell, Sam Walton (Willaston).

Good to see the Willaston presence in zone team, but it's pity the other Gawler teams don't seem to support the concept like the Barossa teams.
The players from BLG are all guys who are in form now and feature in best players for their teams every week, especially midfielders, so with a couple of guns from the Riverland - who knows?
Still 17 from BLG, 7 from Riverland and 1 from Mallee - and he's under 21!

Went to watch freeling and willaston on saturday the game should have been over at half time. Willaston would have had 7-8 set shots from 30m out and missed them all. The ruck work from willaston's ruckman was first class. They should have belted freeling, In saying that full credit to the freeling side they run the game out better than willaston.

I see Sammy Agars just eased his way back into the BL&G with a lazy 6 and BOG,
Brook will be delighted to see he got the 3 votes and will instill him at 28/10 for the Schluter.
Good to have you back Sammy, though sadly it may mean 2011 is another also-ran of a season for the rest of us,
Would think the blockheaded ones have 1 hand on the trophy already now.

Watch out for the Redlegs over the rest of the season. They will win their share of games and may still sneak into the top four. Bear in mind they pushed Gawler Central all the way, then beat Angaston and Willaston in their past three games. Greenwood has hit top form in the past few weeks and Leske is right up to speed now. Luke Mensforth is hard to stop even when they are losing and the kids are all genuine A graders.

Can we still call him Media Mike? He used to watch four games of footy each weekend for The Leader. Now he only watches two for The Herald......fuel costs I suppose. :D Shea Hanisch may be the new media superstar!
