Just your thoughts on Barossa spending heaps of money isn't correct
Everyone was happy when they were bottom, then they have some success and you beleive it was all to do with money, which is far from correct.
I could give you a brief on each player if you want to PM me

Hope you play in many more GF

Thanks that's always the goal, no need for the player profiles I'm not that interested, you must be well informed to be so confident of their budget during that era and also having a profile on all the players :)

Solid rumours yet to be totally confirmed but very close to.
Shaun Baker gone to Gepps Cross
Taylor from Nuri gone, joint decision between player and club
Prior and Schmidt to Eudunda, plus both underwoods gone from Tanunda through semi-retirement.
Luke Wells overseas and date of return yet to be specified
Love the October rumor mill.
Plus Brett Burgess returning to Angaston, female memberships already up 9 percent.

I heard that Ben Burgess to coach Freeling B Grade next year from a source out in the Light District Township

Heard a couple maybe looking at Elizabeth also. Typical isnt it, so many sooky players that cant handle a certain coach because hes too tough or they believe there better then what they are, so they head down to a lower league to look good, Loyalty is a quality thinning out every year that passes.

If you believe the posts from Willaston all is sweetness and light. Aren't all their new found loyal clubmen all signed or on two year contracts?

I thought the only binding football contract came from the SANFL, which only last for 12 months.
Once you sign it a club doesn’t have to clear that player for that season only.
After that they need to resign a new contract for the next 12 months.
If this is the case then all the so called two year contracts become useless.

SANFL contracts used by country leagues allow the club to state a term of more than one year so it is possible for them to sign for two years.

Can you be held to a two year contract?

From what I've seen of country football contracts in other leagues - and the photocopied paper they're on - no-one could be held to one. And why would a club waste money on trying?
Some clubs may use a better brand of photocopier though.

With the Community Football Board contracts, a country club CAN contract a player for more than one season AND make it stick if they wish. BUT if a player is not happy at your club and wants to go, what's the point of keeping him if he's not going to commit himself on the field for you? The club can then choose to release the player from their contract.

Community Football Board contracts are binding and will stand up if challenged. The only way to get a release once one of these is signed is if both parties agree to a release.

Such a case may be about to unfold in the SGFL with a key forward in Port Augusta with a year to go on his contract looking at an offer from a NAFA club

I suspect Kapunda is really keen to capitalise of the Buckets McKenzie signing and they have made no secret that they are hunting in earnest for the 2012 premiership. This is designed to keep players at the club which is a way smart move IMHO.

I'd be surprised if that's the case with McCarthy. From what I know of him, he's an honourable bloke and while he may speak to the odd player with a question on the end of it, I don't think he'd aggressively poach players from Kapunda

Has Shaun Baker all but shut the door behind him? My spies related some very dismissive body language from the man in his most recent meeting with the coach at a neutral venue........
