My apologies to Widget; maths never was my strong area, but my point is that so many people in country footy don't realise how much these import players want and get. Success is important to a club's future and some - lots of them - will put the club in jeopardyfor a quick fix.

Is your '0' key stuck or? Based on that Niklaus would have received close to $2000 in the weeks he kicked those bags of 12 goals... Plus 100 goal season, thats $10,000... Don't know if its just me but that seems highly unlikely... Virginia wouldn't be able to afford that three years in a row... if they can were is the dotted line...

Their gourmet food at home games would have to make a fair amount of cash. Them ribs, they are a must have even at $13.

Believe GC made over $20,000 at auction last year and $10,000 on finals game so they have some cash to splash around.
Also heard Hahn has changed his mind and will play on although big rumor that Luke Howard has transferred to Melbourne with work and this would be a huge blow to lose him as they have no back up big men.Casy Thomas also being chased hard by Salisbury North and several other key players leaving.

Any truth to the rumour that Gawler Central Premiership Player Kym Hermann is to be an assistant coach at South Gawler next year

Sorry about the late reply here but at this stage it looks as though the side is going to be reasonably stable, obviously there is always some movement but none really at this stage. Silly season Doggy, apparently Prior & Schmidt are off to Eudunda but if you ask them they say their staying. Craig Underwood will probably retire due to injuries but Matt will probably play on. Some rumours about Kennedy returning and Matt Westhoff but not too sure whether this one will play out.

Prior & Schmidt staying at Tanunda, according to Britton (assume he would know)

Even with Scott Hahn hanging his boots up, can't see Niklaus back at the dog track next year unless he wants to take a pretty big pay cut. GC are not big payers wouldn't be able to get near the coin Niklaus has been on at Virginia

Well there you go... Hahn would have been on a bit... Plus with Hahn gone the key forward postion would have to be all his and GC could throw that coin at Niklaus... There would have to be 500 single reasons for Niklaus to go back there...

GC matching the $100 per goal on top of his match payments aswell.

Is he looking to pay off that Chrysler of his by moving to GC!

South Gawler may also be after Adelaide-based Hamish Tonkin from Jamestown-Peterborough. He is yet to confirm he will stay at the NAFA club and he's apparently thinking close-to-town country footy rather than Metro for 2012.

Ben Parish has been linked to nearly every club in SA, but country thread suggesting he has signed with Nairne. I know Angaston and Nuri were having a fair crack at him.

Yes there has been a fair amount of interest in one B. Parish and rightly so the young man can play.
I recon the combination of playing alongside a childhood best mate at Nairne, an attractive remuneration package and the positive influence of NEW Rams coach Tony Fielke may have helped his decision. Good solid recruiting for a club that is tired of being average. The timing was right for the Rams. Good luck to all concerned.

Gotta love the players that push their price up by leading-on as many clubs as possible during the off-season. Is it for self-satisfaction, just to be wanted? or is it to boast about how much one can earn playing country footy? Its clearly not a loyalty thing, thus it will never be for the love of the club. I can't understand it. Not a reputation I'd want. I guess it would be hard to knock back rediculous money if its on offer.

Gawler Central midfielder Jason Blakemore is returning to former club Gepps Cross next season, didn't fancy the new tigers coach presenting the best players awards from the urinal every Saturday night :D

Willaston have signed
Pepe Hamley Bridge
Gordon Mount Lofty
McDonald Mount Lofty
? Possibly a Half Decent Full Back but not sure on names yet havent heard a peep from insiders as such.
? Heard another gun ruckman from Town on the cards, Watch this space
Mills Finally Released from Gawler Centrals, was shafted this year by them, they offered him Game time to drop him to B grade, then tell him there was no spot for the young lad. if they had of just cleared him he would have had a year in the A's down at Willaston, is a talent to watch.
Outs
Only heard rumours but Shaun Baker and Chris McClean will not be suiting up
Savage and Bates Brahma Lodge
Brandon Nottle and Matt Cotton(B Grade) Retired
