Sponge would not recruit without seeing them play. Your figures are way off too.

Surprised South would want Gerradis back!

Well have been missing in action for a while so have had some heavy reading in last week or so catching up on everything. Firstly pumped for the magpies big win in september. shame it wasnt last year!!!!! even more pumped for brad griff and clarkey. They worked so hard to get back from injuries so credit to them selves and maybe gives some other blokes the drive to see what can be made from some hard work.

Sounds like the hamley boys are picking up some port districts boys. Be careful watched districts last year vs goodie saints and they seem to argue and be very selfish players. Maybe last paper purse is onto something there.

The big swamp donkey. hows it mate. enjoying the off season and bagging some big ones down at the beach of nineties? All i have spotted is a few flying fish, couple of rays and a turtle. So SD do u think that byron will be on track for the first game next season. As you and i both no he is a super dedicated bloke when it comes to rehab, he will probably just ask the trainer to tape it up and hope for the best.... Congrats on the 1 year anniversary on the 7th mate. Great day. So any other rumors floating around about potential recruits coming to the magpies. Maybe a few EP boys might be making the move to adelaide that u can snag a couple.

Ace will be interested to hear how the great mushrooms season went. what i followed seemed he had a great year made the best players a few times. Super proud of him. Who got your coaching gig for the upcoming season.

Oh SD i believe that my footy trip singlet from 2008 is somewhere in greek island beach bar. Took one for the team just to leave the magpies mark!

We are excited with the prospect of possibly winning a few games!

You need to realise QV that we have finished bottom the last four years in a row, primarily with a group of young locals. Now we have the opportunity to compliment the group with some imports and some returning locals.

Yeah some locals might have to fight a lot harder to play A-Grade, some might even miss out. Stiff competition for spots is something we have not had for a long time now (due to lack of numbers) and I think a lot of locals will benefit from it.

Aren't Hamley always on the bottom when they don't have a team of imports?

Didn't Koch crack the poos about all the imports last time, even when they were successful?

your comment not worthy of a response but to clear things up for future reference, When HB was successful in 04 they had 6 players that were classed as imports, the remainder were locals including koch, so not sure why he would have loathed it.

Dont know why South would want Gerardis back, big show pony, goes missing when a quality defender wears him like a glove.

I heard he cracked it that the imports were all take and no give. It may have been just after the success of 2004.

Are you saying this didn't happen?

Pretty dangerous territory recruiting 'groups' of players to your club, especially if they're not linked to Hamley with work or family. Recruiting such as this is what creates that BOOM BUST rollercoaster, because as soon as 1 player is out of favour then they will all want to leave

Pretty hard to only recruit players linked to Hamley with family or work, most of these avenues have been exhausted over the years, or these lads are already playing!! Or are you saying we should have just recruited one of them and left the other two alone...because groups are bad?

I am sure that if three young lads from Port Districts that had also played a fair bit of SANFL reserves showed interest in Mallala...you would be interested. Especially if you were struggling a little.

Yeah fair enough FGH, its good to hear things are looking up out at the Bridge.

We've been hearing a lot of rumours about how many and where these recruits are coming from, can you provide us with any names yet FGH?
