These guys must get such an ego boost to be having all these interviews, I mean c'mon we're talking country footy, they either want to play or they don't!! Surely they could set up some kind of online, e-bay style auction so that everyone can see how much clubs are willing to pay them. Im not associating these comments with two wells at all Jumbo, rather the players that convert to Self-Marketing Managers over each summer, they must be thriving on the attention, espaecially when their name appears on here!

Actually thats a good idea Swamp - a "virtual manager" - could simplify things quite a bit. PLayer registers his interests and requirements and the system introduces him to a particular club that has also registered.

Swamp, you're an ideas man!

I can see the response to many player registrations now and dollar figures - " tell him he's dreaming " ......

Fantastic idea. I will put my hand up and I will pay $50 a game to any club who wants me! ;)

On second thoughts I might put my hand back down to save embarassment of no club taking me up on my terms!

Can I suggest Ruban as your agent, seem to have a way of altering the truth, that might work in favour.

Has anyone kicked 200 goals in a season in the APFL.
If Heater arrives this may happen.
Sponge would be dirty if he ended up at Two Wells instead of the Bridge.

It is commonly known that Bill quit because of the environment that John Wills created at the club, I don't understand what is funny about that, remember bill stepped into the role a few rounds in when Clint Heading sold the pub and moved on, Bill helped the club out. then John pays Bill half of his coaching fee that was agreed on.......

anything to add Norm
"I coached the reserves at Barossa this season, I was also told that i had the job next year and then told half hour later that they would advertise because they have had other applicants..." (NORM 11 on the BL&G site August 2009)

Sounds to me like he must've quit before he was replaced Queen - never let the facts get in the way of a good whinge...

200 goals = 12.5 goals per game on average

Some teams are lucky to average that for a season. Get your hand off it!
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Yes I was conservative, I allowed for the odd injury.

Ruben

Let me explain it to you...

Bill was going to coach A grade when Rian was Replaced/ Left, Bill was asked by John to fill in, then John rings Bill back as said change of plans, stick with the B grade...Bill not real happy

End of season, Bill is told by John we want to reappoint you as the B grade coach for next year as you haven't had a full year and you took the role mid season... Bill was appointed, later John
calls Bill back and says Bill we are going to advertise the role (I can presume that Phil Twait wants the job). Bill tells John, I quit, the club thanks to you has become a rabble.

There is a common denominator here, Dis-Honest John Wills.

Agree Norm

Would you like me to go on with the next bit, the meeting with Chris Gill and John about his **** ups

You blokes really need to sort this out over a beer. It seems that there's only 2-3 blokes on this forum that give a stuff about norm and his resignation/sacking from his previous jobs or the his apparent remarkable coaching career to dat. I for one couldnt care less and hope he has a good year with Hamley.

Rumours are that Wally Hand is headed to another country club for double what the roosters were paying him

Chased this up - apparently been offered closer to 4x what Two Wells were paying Hand FW.

Hand/Commaine - Commaine/Hand hmmm - know where I would spend my money.

No word on Stansbury - but Sansbury committed to play again as far as I know - what has changed?

Commane not gunna win Two Wells a premiership. Couldn't get a league game at centrals. Takes a good grab and got a couple of flags at barossa, but he's a worse shot at the big sticks than richo!!!

Any more on the rumoured club?

Wally Hand is playing for Eudunda next season. Seems strange he's leaving Two Wells when they are so close to a premiership and have a great group of young blokes.

How would the feeling around the club be about that Jumbo? From what i've heard, he was a pretty popular & well liked bloke at Two Wells. I guess you can't blame blokes for leaving when offered more money but you hope its a signifcant amount more. Especially when he now has more travel & leaving when the Roosters are so close as mentioned above.
One day original John Palmer will be found & the truth will be known.

I don't know yet - find out tonight - they are having a pre-xmas run.

About all I know is that he was offered many times more than Two Wells were paying to go elsewhere (and it wasn't Eudunda) and I seriously doubt the Roosters would have matched those ridiculously high $s. Yea he was often doing the club-thing on Saturday nights, helping serve meals and was a genuine likeable type. Eudunda wont see him on the track unless they train in the city somewhere - he struggled to get to training at Two Wells - don't know how he would go having another hours drive but I'm sure he'll work that out with them.

A quick look over footy online see 50% of his goals against Hamley - not too many against Mallala !
