I understand swamp he has a meeting with you guys tomorrow night ,i hope things can be sorted . He seems like a nice lad we would love his services .If he decides to wear black and white ,you owe the longies boys a shout at the bar because he has been training since november and he is nearly running 4 k's in 15 minutes. Ohh and by the way ,i tried that gps spot on the bottom of your page and ended up on the pt gawler sand flats  ....Thanks mate.

Its a great call SG, it is easy to forget about chappy himself in all this friendly banter. I'm a bit the same, he'll make a decison based on what he wants and what he thinks is best for him and what ever happens, one club will be happy and the other will be disappointed. As for his fitness, its good to see, as like you say in recent years he has struggled with injuries mainly because he has been unable to train due to his work commitment, hence I dont think we've seen the best of chappy yet.

Pt Gawler sand flats......hhmmm interesting, though were firing 2 weeks ago, but only with fish that you would usually use for bait SG!

Here it comes Swamp....

I've heard the update on the Chappy saga is that the brains trust behind the clearance negotiations at magpie land have had their meeting with the young lad and flat out told him he'd better be prepared to sit the year out of footy if he wants to play for United as they weren’t going to clear him. How do these fools that run the show over that way come to the conclusion that they should make a 20 something year old lad sit a couple years out of a game he loves, which for 9 months of the year is the heart and soul of most local communities. It might surprise some people to know, but there are actually a lot of people out there that don’t get paid to play footy, and do it simply for the love of the game, the camaraderie and the ENJOYMENT that comes from playing, and if they are spending their time and money 3 nights a week at a particular club which no longer provides that enjoyment they should be allowed to go! not made to sit out of footy like Matt East was made to do a couple years ago.

Mallala have 35-40+ out on the track two nights a week, they don’t "require" Chappy. The bridges are burnt now, obviously Chappy won’t want to be running around in Magpie colours after such a meeting, and perhaps the pies may not even want him back, so to make another player sit out of footy just because you can is plain poor form.

I hope for the sake of football in general that when the next clearance comes through that its signed. It’s hard enough to fill country footy sides as it is.
