Re South/Kapunda game : Melee was the result of a poor decision - though they weren't too bad in game - we seem to get the "older" one every week, can't say I'm a fan - South guy wouldn't have kicked it 80 metres even if he had got free as siren had sounded. But I must admit the Bomber player used some
"poor judgement" in his approach to the melee: and it was right in front of me! It was stirred up by some over enthusiastic supporters I think.

Didnt see the incident but have heard that their was a headbutt and squirrel grip dished out by the same player.
The umpires lost control and the fight got quite ugly with even the bench players joining in

Jim just a bit confused here, you said you saw an incident in a previous post (very close to the action) but now you say you did not, one guy says 1/2 time another say 3/4 time or was there 2 incidents? If you are who I think you are then I will certainly take your word for it as I truly have a lot of respect for the person I'm thinking of. Anyway I hope your boys do well this year as it is long overdue.

Kapunda vs south score was a shock, goes to show the comp is pretty close other than Tanunda being the standouts.

Any correlation between this and the departure of Chris McLean?

Doubt it!
The girlfriend said it's either 'me or the 'Donneybrooks'. Apparently the footy club is no good in the bed or the kitchen

Bet you Tylor doesn't see out the season unless things improve dramatically!

Have heard murmurs of unrest from the playing group at Freeling in regards to Tylor. It seems a common occurrence of the last few years that Freeling overrate their chances preseason and pull the knives when the wins don't come. Realistically the list has gone backwards from last year. The wins will come for the Legs in a few years time when the young lads they're blooding now mature. If they stick around of course.

After the Battle of Kapunda will the Herald have a full back page story again - seems we have a common denominator in these incidents this year and they wear blue and white.

Sorry Sammy the stoush at Dutton Park was small potatoes compared to your 'little' contretemps. It was one squirrel grip too many and a lot of huffing and puffing - no big hits!

You say Jim that the bench players joined in? Does that call for a player count?
Didn't see the 17's game but was there for the A's. Barossa were out done by better team, baker was all over the ground and was left free for most of the game.Roger James was given a bath.
Something to think about

Scooter

Why would Scooter Hahn go and play at Mallala?
There must be a reason for him not going back to GC.
He was one of the main instigator's in getting rid of poor old Wakka and he then goes and signs with another club.
GC would be spewing as they really need his experience in their young team at the moment.
