9.1 Financial Indebtedness and Contractual Obligation
A player of an Affiliated League Club to who has no financial indebtedness (applies to
Subscriptions for the players previous season played only) or contractual obligation to
that Club must not and can not be refused a Clearance on any grounds.
The standard SACFL Leagues Playing Contract, in a form approved by the Board
from time to time; will be the only contract recognised in the instance of any appeal
where ‘Contractual Obligation’ is given as the reason for any refusal of a Clearance.

9.4 Currently Registered Player
A player who is yet to play a game for a club in the current season cannot be refused
a clearance, subject to regulation 9.1. Upon playing a game for an Affiliated Football
Club, the player is unable to register with another Affiliated Football Club in that
season unless the player has written consent to do so by both clubs concerned, and
completes appropriate clearance forms.

the above is from the Community FL Regs, do you know what grounds Mallala refused the first clearance Swamp?

its quite obvious they dont want him going to an rival club. i reckon that is all

you can't refuse a player for just any reason. it has to be covered under one of the laws of the game.
think you will find that the APFL has an additional by-law that allows clubs to refuse clearace on the grounds of required player.
(i think SD is wondering about the exact wording of this by-law)

 You dick! It should never ever get that far! It is becoming increasingly obvious that you are one of the Mallala clubmen with your head up your arse. (as UnderthePack would suggest)

Now now Pinky, no need to get personal or make assumptions about my role in this. I am certainly not involved in the official process, however if you get off your high horse and read my posts today you will find that I am not being provocative at all, I am simply trying to understand why the tribunal need to get involved if all these conditions are met, and I still don't know. I am not building a case for or against, and I am trying to understand how the process works. Relax and have a beer.

Swamp - I am not taking aim at individuals on here with any comments regarding the Mallala FC, but their latest actions, once again highlight the arrogance they portray in the league.

They have met with the player from my understanding? He is finanical, He dosnt want to play for the MFC. So clear the kid and let him enjoy his football. Mallala are certainly not going to benefit anymore out of this issue, as they have a person who dosnt want to be at the club.

Having coached (in the past), why have a player who dosnt want to be there????

They are all fair points frognastie. As for percieved arrogance, from my limited experiences and involvement, its certainly not what the club is about and I totally understand your point of view, but there are not many arrogant people associated with MFC. Hopefully things work out for everyone.

at this stage, based on the info present (clearances) you would think they have lost more than they gained.
virginia made the finals last year.

Virginia finished 2nd after the minor round and lost the prelim. Judging county footy Associations as a whole against Amature League divisions doesnt work and it comes up every year. Im a bit over it. Who really cares if they play a trial against a club of their same standard anyway? its just about a bit of match fitness and remembering the rules!

Any trial matches this weekend? HWE are playing in the Kadina round robin next Saturday and I think playing Min Man the following week.

Not this weekend. We play South Gawler on Sunday 21st March and Southern Eagles Sunday 28th March!
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!
