I am unaware of the final score but in the purely A-Grade portion of the game Balak would of come out on top. Good performance from the Peckers who were missing Catford, L.Evans, J.Evans, V.Taylor and McLean. Will be a good side on a dry day with 5 to 6 players 6ft4 or above. New players all showed they will be up to APFL standard. 2nd half of the game was a bit of a farce with Kadina only having 26 or so on the night so 4 or 5 Balak players (out of our 34) swapped jumpers for the last couple of quarters to keep the game going.

Heard Mallala got smashed by North Clare with Propokec kicking 10 or so, any reports?

Big Prokopec kicked 8.5 for North Clare...

He did indeed... were Mallala at full strength? You would hope not, there was a lack of intensity at the ball by them... they also appeared to be undersized.

Did Blyth Snowtown get up over Two wells?
Tim Clarke was the #1 player in the AFL

Have heard a rumour that the Montgomery twins from mallala are considering a club change? Apparently thay are clashing with club heirachy. Not sure if that means coaches or committee. Anyone from Mallala shed any light on this & what the reasons may be? Very good players for the club these boys, & would be crucial to their premiership defence!

mallala were not at full strength, giving a few of the younger kids a game and rewarding those who put in a effort over the pre season.

Blyth won by about 4 goals, but looked to be in control. Was a good standard game. Very impressed with the quality of lights at the Snowtown Oval!

Is there anyone not clashing with that clubs heirachy? Maybe they are good mates with Jack Chapman and they aren't very happy with the way he is/has been treated? Good to see them take a stance against the old men. Apparently they have been in talks with an amateur club for a couple of weeks now. But, I think that they will still play for Mallala.

I think Hamley played the Southern Saints. I couldn't tell you of the score though, not that scores matter much in trials. Just disappointing for them to lose another player.

I spoke with one of the Hamley Bridge player who once played at Barossa, they played Southern Saints and won by 8 goals. he added he has never seen a club get so excited about winning a trial game..

I think Ace could quite openly vouch for the fact that all the "left field" rumours each year tend to be directed at the most successful clubs, eg HWE in 08 and every other year in the 2000's except 07 and 09, you blokes seem to cop it pretty harshly. Hence that fact that silverware in the cabinet tends to put clubs at the top of the rumour mill is very satisfying :D :D

Unfortunately for you all, Brian and Robert seem to get along very well with everyone at the footy club and they are very very important players for the club. Robert is still having some trouble with his knee, which hampered him late last year and Brian who has been committed to cricket over summer has been training the house down, is looking very fit and dominated on a wing on Saturday against Nth Clare and will certainly be in the starting 18 in the A grade against Two Wells I would think. Does this answer a few questions? ;) I hope noone lost any sleep over these rumours, you all seem so concerned ;) Plus they're both legends!!
