Im sure all South supporters would love you guys not to finish bottom, would be more than happy to see the spoon handed to our neighbours ;)

Take it easy on Jimbo boys, im sure this weekend has bought back disturbing memories and sleepless nights waking up in a cold sweat. South didnt win and neither did Norwood or Essendon. Its been the last 12 years all over again!!

Hawks and Dogs must of got up this week hey Days ;)

As they do most weeks
Since your last flag, my teams have won 11 premierships in 12 years, can probably add another 2 this year ;)

Commane must be kicking himself with only a handful against the Tigers, I'm sure he would have pencilled in double figure return!

Willaston still trying to preserve points, just finish in the 4 again so they can keep the herd of imports they have?

Barossa v Tanunda - On their own home deck, the Doggies could be a realistic chance of incurring a rare Tanunda loss. Barossa by 8 points.
Freeling v Nuriootpa - The Tigers have too much to play for, while player losses will hurt the Redlegs this week. Nuriootpa by 5 goals.
Gawler Central v Willaston - Played a better agem last week but stil haven't found their 2011 form, but still only playing the cellar dwellers. Willaston by 8 goals.
South Gawler v Angaston - To put it simply, the Lions by how much? South by 12 goals.

This weeks winners

Bar v Tan-this will be a great game and preview of this years GF-Tan to win by 4 goals-if we where playing at home we would get up
by 10 goals
Freeling v Nuri-this game could go either way and I think home ground advantage will see Redlegs get up by 3 goals-will be worth entrance to see Byrne and Hornsell kick a bag each
Centrals v Willaston- what Willaston side will turn up this week-never know but they should get over the Tigers by 4 goals but would be no surprise to see Tigers knock the Donnies off.
South v Angaston- Osma go back in your cave for another 12 months if you think Ango will knock of the Lions-Coach Hadden should retire and let a kid have a game and watch from the sidelines(Ollie lurching around in background is the rumor I am hearing)-South by 15 goals

Cmon Jim, don't tell me these lads from the hills have rattled you this week, go for a big win and put them back in their place (with a herd of sexy goats). Have a feeling that the Blockies run may come to an end this weekend, as long as Lizard Lister does not make a come back and punch up Newberry.

Think there might be a bit of rain on the way skipper, that should keep the score down

Dont think its been mentioned yet. Jason Ackermannis to play for Gawler Centrals against Angaston in the second round. Thought he would be preffered to play against a Gawler team rather than Angaston.

Would have to fit into his schedule and Centrals would want him for a home game. They have already played South at home and have Willaston at home this week.
Obviously Ango have given it the all clear as he would need a permit to play.
Is it correct he is charging $5k to play? Be interesting to see the crowd size.

yes correct norm...Aker will be making an appearance on August 21st at the Dog Track. He has done it at a few local clubs around Australia this year. He plays the game and sticks around for a bit afterwards and does a bit of a sportsmans night type thing...

We basically had to get the all clear from the association and the opposition so Angaston was the best fit seeing as neither of us will be playing finals this year barring some sort of miracle. I can't see South or Willaston being too happy with missing finals or a double chance if Aker kicks a bag against them and we get up!

Pretty sure it was mentioned in the Bunyip and Herald this week but naturally there will be a bit more press closer to the date...

The Mettwurst Eaters have now gone through the first round undefeated.
Barossa were seen as their next challenger and were unable to expose the soft Magpie underbelly by 91 points.
In fact, I was talking to a four cornered powerbroker last week, suggested the Boxy's may struggle to hold onto some key players next year, now running a deficit from substantially reduced gate and bar revenue. Stay tuned…
