Not sure what your reading, I stated "My guess is that this exactly why the Mallala has been reluctant to clear players to neighbouring clubs" as this would be a reasonable assumption if this is all true and your dead right when you say I have nothing to do with the process, thankfully.

Personally I just think its a pretty ordinary strategy to be offering such players money just to switch clubs, surely you can understand my concern, and given the tribunal clears players auto after 3 attempts this is even more of a worry for other less wealthy clubs

So is the rumour true MC? yes or no (maybe check with your publican before you answer :D )

I agree, very ordinary and that DOES NOT happen at United.

In answer to your question - Definately Not.

Unfortunately I'm not convinced. In fact as a fellow player I'd be feeling undercut at $200 if one of my teammates was getting $1200

If anyone is on $1 or more than myself and many others are undercut as you would describe, but wouldn't have it any other way. Not sure about your football club but we don't sit around bitching about who gets what.

I'm not convinced on your figures either. Its funny how you seem to think that you know what everyone at other clubs are on, yet don't know your own clubs players  .

Donkey you're pretty happy to dish it out yet when someone questions you on something you hide behind the line - Its got nothing to do with me what decisions Mallala Football club makes.

Chappy was not poached or lured over to us with incentives, I can guarantee, and it seems to be only you that thinks otherwise. He came on his own free will looking for a fresh start. Why blame another club for mistakes that your club has made over the past 3 years with Jack?

being only a metre or so away from it. it seemed bad but apparently no damage done to bone or ligaments will be alright for mallala.

My tips are
Rams by 6goals
Mallala by 3goals[/quote]

Virginia by 14pts
Mallala to run away with it in last quarter after tight first three terms, and win by 36 points.

Whatever! Your football club certainly didn't help in any way what so ever. Made the process twice as hard as what it should have been.

Obviously common sense finally prevailed. Agree MC that it shouldn't have had to go on this long but will be interesting to see how the young lad goes with what you guys are saying will be more opportunity.

The Tigers must have given a very strong case for this decision as in the past the Board has often refused these. Given the apparent hatred from the Board to the Tigers at previous board meetings, this makes me think the Tigers had a card up their sleeve to play last night. Well done to them I say.

End result of all of this though is that Mallala are the big losers and their reputation for handling players has tarnished even more than before. You have to wander what the result would have been if United couldn't put up a strong case. Is the rumour true that Mallala were also at the Board meeting still trying to stop the clearance?

I don't think it was a board meeting, rather a tribunal hearing, hence I would assume that both clubs were represented and the tribunal who is supposedly neutral would then make an unbias judgement. I may be wrong. Good thing is that its now all done and dusted and everyone can get on with the season ahead.
