He also said it's hard to field the juniors when during the summer the two wells coach was contacting their better players to head out their way. Look it doesnt really bother me either way really but it seems you are all eager to get on their back at any chance you get without getting the full story.

What an absolute crock of 5hit, if the Virginia co-ordinator told you that he/she is telling you BS - Two Wells has never been in the business of poaching other clubs juniors - doesn't need to because it has enough numbers each year.

The new website setup is a dogs breakfast, not the info supplied by clubs but the site itself. I still prefer the country footy website, although I'm not sure who wrote the preview fro Round 1 because they tipped Wally Hand to play a big role in the Roosters team on Saturday

http://www.countryfooty.com.au/AdelaidePlains.htm

It has still got last years GF scores up there too which is great :D

The new site is crap - too hard to navigate, too hard to find info, not intuitive for the footy fan, information not displayed in easy to read manner -need I go on.

Use the Countryfooty web site - at least Laurie is interested in presenting the info to the customer - i.e. the footy fan in an easy to access manner. Shame Football-online has been shafted by the SACFL in favour of the sporting pulse interstate Vic crap!! That football-online site was developing into a top source of info.

Caught the Mallala/Two Wells game saturday. Tough bruising game. Was impressed with the younger Griffiths boy. Had never really seen him play too much & had always thought he was a reserves player. Looks to be easily up to the standard. Bit of mongral about also. See Brad Griffiths copped a hit at the start of the game. Was that carrying on from last years GF??

Was certainly a good game of footy. Two Wells look to run out of puff after half time which is a worrying sign for them. Christofis looks very similar to Wally Hand and they had another new midfielder/HF that moved well. Lee Allmond was very damaging for the Roosters.
Daniel Griff was great, showed some real class with clean hands and strong pressure around the footy. I actually had an ear to the TW huddle at 3/4 time and that was all the TW coach spoke about, Daniel Griff. Weird!!! Brad Griff kicked 4 in a low scoring game he certainly had the measure of the young fella that was on him. The first of a few tight battles between these two teams this year I'd say.

What happened at Virginia Ace? I expected a bit more from Virginia.

had a ear there swamp?. game was well and truly on at 3 quarter time werent listening to ur own huddle? christofis going down during the second hurt big time as well as did losing humzy to a sickening clash. hardi started of well and he was a big loss aswell. pretty sure all the coach said was when griff gets the ball nail him coz the little prick was getting a few touches. will be looking forward to the return match in a few weeks time. makes the virginia match more important to win this week

I spent a bit of time mucking around with it last night Jumbo and I think the more you use it the more informative it will be. I think as we progress through the season the benefits of the new site will become more evident, with personal stats for each player such as number of times in best, goals kicked, and who they were against stuff like that. I guess after just one game the site itself for the APFL is not that informative, but in weeks/months and years to come I think it will be a good archive. I still agree however that its not the easiest site to just get the weekend scores from.

Hummocks were very good on Saturday. Was a very good contest to watch but Hummocks just too strong at the moment. Early call for the medal but David Barnes would be my pick at the minute.

I certainly don't doubt the technical abilities of the new site Swamp, I think the only reason we will end up delving into it is because sites such as Football-online have been cutoff for no fault of their own. The sporting pulse site wont get easier to navigate, we will just get used to its clunkiness.

I call on the football-online people to get access to sporting pulse sites and still update their own website from the data on sporting pulse. That would be the best of both worlds, those that want to dig into the data can do and those that just want an easy interface into the scores.

He must have improved - same Barnes that played there 2 seasons back?

How did Wilkey go for the Rams? Comes with some reasonable credentials from Port Adelaide as I understand it.
