He must have improved - same Barnes that played there 2 seasons back?

How did Wilkey go for the Rams? Comes with some reasonable credentials from Port Adelaide as I understand it.

Yep same Barnes. We didn't see him injury free last time. He is very good player.

Wilkey was probably in Virginia's top 3 players on Saturday. He pushed forward well and even managed to sneak one or two goals from memory.

Bloody hell Jumbo, best and fairest winner in a premiership year, if that's a bad year I'm looking forward to his good year! :D

Nice and quiet!

Tips for the week:
United by 6 goals
Balaklava by 7 goals
Two Wells by 8 goals

Did anyone read the preview for us versus Hummocks in the Producer? Gotta love the bit about the fans will miss the Mark Pym / Shuan Price show.  It made it worth buying the paper just for that comment. =))
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

barnsey is a gun, if my memory serves me right i think hwe played him forward in 2008 2nd semi at hamley and he killed it but just couldn't kick straight. would have been a lot closer if he had and the rest is history. hummocks i think will suprise everyone this year with so much finals experience.

tips.
two wells 25
united 17 even after that spill on the eagles
balak 19

Try visiting http://www.sportingpulse.com/assoc_page ... sID=172465 then fixtures/results

The new website setup is a dogs breakfast, not the info supplied by clubs but the site itself. I still prefer the country footy website, although I'm not sure who wrote the preview fro Round 1 because they tipped Wally Hand to play a big role in the Roosters team on Saturday

http://www.countryfooty.com.au/AdelaidePlains.htm

It has still got last years GF scores up there too which is great :D

after the Hand guesswork, looks like they have learnt their lesson.
(i also dont think whitwell wouldve got too many touches!)
this weeks preview doesnt mention 1 player!

Yeah, might've been worth $1.40 perhaps? I guess all United fans would be pretty impressed with Kym Jarman's work during the footy season.

Hummocks good again! Even first half but smashed the Tigers in the third quarter. Might have to have a rain check on my medal tip. Barnes through a couple of big fists and got reported by both umps. Gonna be tough to defend the indefensible. Great game to watch though.

Great day by the seaside Saturday! Crowd was in full voice, made for a great atmosphere. Plenty of "advice" given to Peter Burgoyne, but he showed his class, mainly up forward which was a surprise. Obviously working his way into the season MC, or is that a condition of his lucrative contract? I guess when you get Sam Mac back, he might play more as a midfielder then?
Couple of big bags in the other games, not surprising to see big Niklaus kick 9 for the Rams. He looked a likely type the week before against us. Be interesting to see if he can do it against the premiers this week. Massive game at Mallala!
Well done also to big Bomber in his return to the Peckers. Have to be happy with a lazy 8 in your first game as player/coach! Some tough times ahead for the full backs of the competition methinks. The poor bastards! :)

If Virgina have 38 scoring shots each week they will be hard to stop especially with Niklaus up there clunking them. Your right he wouldn't have kicked 9 had Humpa played, prob closer to 12 :D
