I wouldn't be surprised if all games final margins were over 10 goals!

Agreed. The top 4 by how much this week.

Tanunda v Gawler Central - 20 goals. Kaesler to kick 10 (if he plays?)
South Gawler v Nuriootpa - 15 goals. Trewin to kick 10
Barossa v Freeling - 15 goals. Commane to kick 10
Kapunda v Angaston - 20 goals. Farley and Ryan 5 a piece

Also if you want more points and players changing clubs within the league -how long until a club has serious trouble paying players.

Do we want clubs going broke and folding ???? I would think not.

The new points system is modelled on the old import system and works ok - but may need a little tinkering.

What a ridiculous statement saying do we want clubs going broke?
Of course no one wants to see that and im sure if someone with a little common sense is in charge of the clubs funds (not sure who is in control of yours shoot it) then this could would not happen.
Our points system needs serious attention
Tanunda were allocated 3 points this year, Gawler Central were allocated 6 points, what the association is saying is that there is one player difference with this current system between Tanunda and Gawler Central anyone who seen the Second Semi which Tanunda won by 135 points would see there is more than three points between both of last years teams.
Willaston made the Grand Final in 2011 and were allocated 12 points (correct me if im wrong) for 2012 and South Gawler who finished bottom were allowed 15, once again the association is saying that there is a one player difference between a Grand Finalist and a wooden spooner?
Daysofourlives it has nothing to do with Gawler Central being on the bottom, I brought the same point up last season about this points system.

In 2014 Centrals will have 15 if they make sure they dont win many next year. So save the pennies fill your points and you should have a flag in 2014/15 and then the cycle begins again. It will all work out well for the clubs with big junior numbers, as long as they have money to buy 15 points worth every 5 or 6 years. Its the clubs with smaller jumior numbers that may not necessarily have success even with 15 points.
Also without crunching the numbers i would say there is a lot more players through all the grades at the Dogs than there used to be also effecting the standard in our comp.

Unfortunately we have lost one of our recruits at South with Nick White heading back to North Adelaide. Big loss and not great to lose him so close to finals. Did hear he was amongst the best in North's ressies today.

Was he a three-pointer Jim?

Frees up three for next year Which it would cost to pick up someone such as Brad Taylor at Kapunda I guess.

1. I wouldn't think Kapunda would clear him. (good clearance rule in the BL&G)
2. I couldn't see Brad Taylor wanting to go anywhere near South Gawler.
3. If South win enough games this year they may even loose 3 points.

Final four is now set. Any movement in the coaching circles yet?

Tanunda
Kapunda - browny has exceeded the expectations on the bombers.
South - Scott Lee has finally elevated the Lions from the foot of the table
Barossa - Has Roger underachieved with his list

Willaston - Donny's had big budget and expectations of Irving
Nuri - The Rovers have spent up more than normal, Norts and Gers are both sharpening the knife for salter.
Freeling - developing list under Tyler, list needs a few tweaks for next year.
Angaston - Hadden hasn't recovered since the 2010 elimination final loss. They had more gains than losses from pre season.
Centrals - unfounded territory for the gawler tigers, not expected for Herzick to get any more from the cubs in 2012.

Unfair to be too critical of Barossa's coach after all he has had a massive number of good players off his list so far with injuries this year. Just starting to get it together now & I'd expect a real test will be against the bombers this week when assessing Roger's coaching credentials.....

Where will the coach move on to next season. All that cash and promises and couldn't meet the expectations makes it an embarrassing tenure for the Donnies  ;)
Watch for the exodus of gun recruits over the next few months chasing more of the same!

So who will cop the blame for the mess at Willaston?? The Coach, the recruits or the Committee??
