Stuey is going ok, had a win over our traditional rivals Hummocks on the weekend. has been playing himself CHF/FF and kicked a few goals. Providing a big pressence in the forward lines and communicates well with the playing group.

That sounds like abuse to me. 50 metres.

Few interesting results over the weekend. Balak recorded an impressive upset win over the Eagles, Virginia destroyed United and Two Wells smoked Hamley. Great to see some big bags of goals too, with young Brice from Balak snagging 9 (who had the job on him Ace  ??), the big hairy Rooster Christifilioisufolsiuis kicked 4 in the last to reach 9 for the game and I think the monster unit Nicklaus kicked another bag of 8 or 9. Makes for a great spectacle when the big forwards are firing!!!

Any match reports Ace, Mythical or Hazbeen.

sorry wasn't there, had to leave after the little blokes game in the morning. From all reports the Peckers boys carried on the team play from the Rams game and pressured the Eagles into errors, Jibber Brice on fire with 9, big future for the young fella in he continues to progress and his body gets bigger.

Yep, Virginia were very good on Saturday. I actually thought that our Full Back did a good job on big Nik, especially the one on ones. Not much he could do with the 10+ lace out passes that were given too him, due to not enough pressure on the guys kicking to him.

I hope the guy who got stretchered off in the last quarter is ok (anyone know? AKA?). He got taken away by ambulance, but apparently he still couldn't feel his legs when they put him in the ambo. Was from a seemingly innocuous collision, but none the less hope he is ok.

Its kind of hard to complain about the umpires when you are 0 and 5 but seeing the topic was raised i decided to tee off. They are desperately un educated and you cant tell them any different. Now that stupid advert has come out on tv and it is only making things worse. The SANFL need to pay an advocate to come to the games and inspect their work to see how bad it really is. Most of tallboys staff have probably played 20 games between them, thats why they umpire. Hodgetts couldn't get a kick in a street fight.

Exactly. Rather than worry about umpiring the game they seem to think the best way to react to players is to either bag them or try to come up with smart arsed replies. If they spend less time trying to think of quick witted replies and just concentrate on umpiring the game will go a long way to earning them some respect. I know I'm not one to judge a mans fitness levels but surely this has to be addressed with some of the umpires before they can umpire A Grade.

Having said all of that the two that we had on Saturday (Mutch & Jenner) showed BY FAR the best example of umpiring I have seen in our games all year. Even though we got flogged by Virginia I felt the umpiring was very fair and for once they were CONSISTENT which is the most important thing. Credit where its due to Mutch & Jenner. =D>

Good call these two have also been good in most of our games especially Jenner at least you can get a sensible response from him when you ask him a question, seems a nice bloke too.

No Shaun Light looks to have been a pretty important factor as to why HWE couldnt get over Balak. Lighty has been amazing in the games I have seen this season, pretty much running the show. How come the big man wasnt out there Saturday Ace Ventura?

Anyone had any news on their clubs Association reps? Training starts this Wed night at Mallala I believe. Andy Michael from Balaklava is the coach which is a great appointment. Carnival is at Kadina in 3 weeks time.

Who did play Full Back MC? Nicklaus would be quite a handful especially for a young up-and-comer, he is a massive lump of a man.

Fitness level, attitude, knowledge of the rules, positioning, there are many factors in making a good umpire. Not being able to take criticism when its due is not a productive trait.

The 2 umpires in TW vs United 2 games back were terrible for both sides, the 2 at TW vs Hamley on Saturday seemed to be consistent and paid frees when they were earned for the most part.

When the side that wins by ten goals says the umpiring was terrible, then you know that there is something wrong.

About half way through the last quarter of that game the coach stormed out of the box and was on the phone to someone - he's not a gambler so it wasn't his bookie.

Without Light the Peckers definitely have the better talls - a major factor in the outcome I would think. I heard he works away these days and may not always be available.

Thats right, Lighty works at Broken Hill and isnt always able to make the 5+ hour trip back due to work. He'll definately be handy come the next time we play Balak. Balak played good footy though and young Brice cleaned up. Hopefully a full team against Virginia after the bye will set us back on track with Lighty, Hunt, Lockwood and Schutz likely to be back in.

Should've asked who didnt have a crack on him ;) A couple came a went, matt higgs contained him for the last quarter when he only had 1 shot on goal (and kicked it) from a free kick down the field.

The young fellow seemed alright at the club tonight,he didnt train and wont be available for this weekend.A good result as we didnt know what to expect when he got taken by the ambos.

Glad to hear that he is ok AKA. I know that our trainers were very worried for him on Saturday.

Two Wells ranks to be significantly boosted after recruiting a guy who bleeds 'Black and White' but will be in Red and White for the rest of the season. Big move by the Roosters and keep an eye on their Best Players.
