I think its irrelevant, if they were unable to play Assoc due to injury then the rule is they are unavailable the week after, even if they missed games prior with the same injury. Its been this way for 3-4 years.
Well let's not question it then- if its been this way for 3 or 4 years then IT HAS BEEN WRONG for 3 or 4 years.
By the logic - a potential association player (picked in the squad) injures himself sometime between selection in the squad and the game, the injury rules him out of club and ASS game. So he HAS to miss the game after the ASS game as well because thats how its been for 3 or 4 years. In the words of MH crap, crap and more crap. It just keeps flowing from HQ.

I not totally sure what the "actual" rule is, but it seem terribly vague, particularly as clubs themselves aren't sure whats going on. Its something that should be clear as day. For something that has such a harsh penalty, its not been handled at all well. I mean clubs should be informed of the suspended players Monday morning after the Assoc game, instead its like theyre leaving it till as late as possible so that nobody has time to appeal it.
Exactly. How would Hummocks feel if they only found out today that one of their players is suspended considering they pick their teams on Wednesday nights. Most sides would have their teams picked by now and to only find out on Thursday if anyone is suspended is a joke. Anyone know of any definate suspensions yet cause I have no idea if there are in fact any?

I was led to believe that you missed the week before you were safe from suspension. But the APFL loves leading people one way then all of a sudden changing boundaries without warning.
Hound Dog, clubs don't actually select the players in the squad as there is a team of selectors that do this.

then you better hope your not playing well prior ......Can't have players playing to their potential in the APFL. It just reminds me of the totally dumb decision on U17's and mercy rules of a few years ago.

He was subsequently not selected as he hasnt played football in 7 weeks and now is suspended this week, "As he didnt attend any trainings or play". He was selected in our side this week and has subsequently had to be replaced.
Also Jarrad Manners was suspended for a game for an in the play incident, deamed as non intentional (by all but 2 at the tribunal i hear), not even awarded a free kick by the umpire, however he gets suspended.
Are these Assoc Squad players who get suspended eligable for the Mail Medal?
