He hasnt played since round 3 against Hamley on the 23rd of April with a hamstring! was Available to play Assoc, couldn't train due to work (he doesnt train with us Wed nights either) and called the coach each week to let him know (which I hear Andy Michael was fine with). He was subsequently not selected as he hasnt played football in 7 weeks and now is suspended this week, "As he didnt attend any trainings or play". He was selected in our side this week and has subsequently had to be replaced.

Also Jarrad Manners was suspended for a game for an in the play incident, deamed as non intentional (by all but 2 at the tribunal i hear), not even awarded a free kick by the umpire, however he gets suspended  .

Are these Assoc Squad players who get suspended eligable for the Mail Medal?

Thats pretty bad with Hunt, in fact its wrong.  Not sure about Manno Ace, as the Independant tribunal found him guilty of striking and subsequently handed down their penalty which is very light considering they found him guilty. I heard he basically admitted to using his forearm and that why he was obviously found guilty.

The association players were handled by the Board directly and they aren't suspended as such they are just "unavailable". All the players that were made "unavailable" had pretty good reasons like injury for weeks before, holiday booked in advance and wedding. Just a joke really. They aren't banned from official duties on the day and it doesn't go on their record, so they would still be able to win the medal.

Only one MAYBE worthy of suspension is Catford who pulled out on Friday because he didn't want to play. All just one big joke really.

How can hunt be suspended? The apfl need to take a good hard look at them selfs in the mirror, brad busch take some controll of this rabble u call the association and use your brain

The number and consistency of the utter ridiculous decisions that come out of this rabble is just astounding. That Joe Hunt decision is just plain WRONG. How can they sit in their ivory tower and think decisions such as this (and others) are sensible and in the best interests of the APFL.

Yesterday I overheard from a new official to our club (came from another in the Central Zone), "nothing surprises me anymore in this league" when talking about the 2 suspensions for Two Wells.

Directors shape up or ship out!!!

Perhaps they could be on the one ticket - Jumbo President. Left hand Goal post at the score board end at Wakey Vice President.

Two Wells had Khan Leighton and Lee Allmond suspended under bylaw 5(c).

Bylaw 5 (c) reads- Any player selected to play in any Inter-League match or matches who neglects or refuses to train or play in such match or matches will not be eligible to play their next club match. This only applies to A and Reserves players over the age of eighteen (18) years.

Very long bow to draw when if selected they could not have played anyway. Coach was aware of their situations, IMHO their situation does not imply any neglect or refusal. I would suggest Hunt is in the same situation - just plain BS.

BTW : Both are still injured and likely to miss a couple more - this is what makes it so ridiculous. This has not impacted Two Wells, but Eagles and Hunt it does.

First order of business - if you (board/directors) are not here for the betterment of APFL you can leave immediately - don't let the door hit you on the way put. Check ego's at door, make decisions based on ALL available information in the best interest of the APFL and its member teams and players.

How does one get a gig on this board anyway?

So there is no need for Two Wells to appeal immediately then if they're not fit to play anyway of were you just suggesting this action to make a point Jumbo? i would agree, I think appealling it might actually make them reconsider the law.

Apparently the appeal procedure takes two weeks. during that time any players involved in that appeal process is not eligible to play what ive been told.
