that is very true, the man is coaching, also hear that phillips made a call to a red head at freeling but the little red boy is playing for kadina in 2011,maybe told to move on from freeling

So who's coming up our way to play? Redhead's name is ............ .Eichner, played at Port Adelaide,is that him?

Copper Top which Eichner is heading to Kadina? Former Collingwood rookie Steve or his younger brother Micheal who played alot reserves games for the magpies and a season for Paskeville in the YP in 2009. Be suprised to see either of them leave Freeling when things are on the way up under playing coach Mal Greenwood with Freeling having a good mix of promising locals and imports.

I think maidenmagpie is talking about Ian McMillan (ex Mallala and Balaklava)

Three of the four import spots have been filled at kadina. Dont see Eichner taking the last one. With Lawson and Rodda the bloods dont need anymore onballers.

Just curious to know when APFL clubs are starting their pre-season training. I know some some amateur clubs have already started. Personally I believe the best time to start training is in January as 3 months is plenty of time to build up for trial matches and to be ready for round 1. People sometimes forget that majority of country footballers play for the love of the game and training twice a week plus matches on Saturday when the season starts is a big commitment on top of working full time. Full on training from November or December makes the season to long, players become fatigued by the middle of the season and lose interest by the time the cold winter months of June and July come around plus most players tuck into the good life with plenty of grog and good food over the xmas and new year break so the benefit of starting early is lost. A couple of catch up nights towards the end of the year with a light run followed by a barbie and a few beers is the way to go and get into the real training in January is the way to go.

Not sure about other clubs Foggy but we won't be starting until January this season. We will probably catch up for a game of cricket or something in mid December, but definately no training before Christmas.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Mallala will be having a, informal premiership gathering to kick off season 2011 early December (why not!! :D ). Similarly to last 5 years, there will be 2 trainings in December which will involve a BBQ and a few touches of the footy before training twice a week resumes in late Jan. Blokes are told to look after themselves during January and come back in good nic, so that we can concentrate on ball work in the lead up, with a bit of fitness work and testing to maintain the standards.

Doubt it, as neither played juniors at Mallala they would both be worth 3 points at least.
