POINTS System basic rule of thumb from what I have read = If you have played 25 games for a club previously, you will be 0 (zero, nil) points if you return to that club no matter what age or grade you played.

Hosting a GF may even help them to improve in the areas they are lacking such as attracting kids to fill the lower teams??

Yes agree on the surface and changerooms. Biggest issue is them not having a junior colts (hopefully this changes this year) and no junior netball teams and only a few senior netball teams.

Also, for the GF the netballers have to use the outside courts of which they are clearly the worst in the league and there is no shelter for the players and spectators. Also no room for spectators to stand and watch except for taking over part of the playground or converging on the road which could become unsafe for the spectators.

Other than that, I suggest they stock up on ribs cause if I'm not playing then I'm gonna eat shit loads. :D
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Miss informed on the junior netball sides mate...they had 2 teams.

Played at Port Wakefield and on that particular rainy day we had no shelter and one side of the court was too along side a road. Longies only have shellter for one court. Look i'm almost sure the rams commitee would agree that the courts are well below par but we could pick pro and cons about all clubs both netball and football. They are working with the tennis club and council to improve the courts, probably wont be done before this year's GF.

Maybe they need a GF to help fund the upgrades??

Maybe they need to pull their head in. They have a massive community and the soccer excuse is crap. Longies have no trouble providing teams and they would have the smallest community to choose from. Virginia have been struggling for years

An excellent point OnSong - it's is about time the APFL took a fair and equitable approach to all clubs having the same opportunity to make some good income. Balak and Mallala (and more recently United) getting the GF's shared amoungst themselves is not even remotely fair. There is nothing wrong with the Virginia facility, seems to be good enough throughout the season! There is no club in this league that can stand up and say there are zero issues with their facilities.

I say good on you APFL - a step in the right direction
