I'm not going to get into this paying players argument bullshit, the facts are ALL clubs in this league pay players. As long as the clubs aren't spending more than they have it shouldn't be an issue.
Donkey, **** post mate and you know it.
So your telling me that United paid Peter Burgoyne all that money and not the Dublin publican? That is all I was saying MC and plenty of people from UFC have told me this directly. Not sure why it was such a **** post. I was being pretty harsh when I said United and Virginia make a mockery of country footy and I apologise for that, I meant the external sources that a paying this type of money is making a mockery of country footy.
On the Joel/miniJoel Mont transfer.... we're awaiting the results of the health screening conducted by our medical staff before we move on this one, apparently miniJoel had bigger biceps
I was told that it was the 3 pubs putting 400 each in for it.
Ha Ha 3 different pubs?? What would they be? Obviously Dublin Hotel but who are the other 2? Long Plains Hotel & the Calomba Sports Bar????![]()

Woofa a couple of good comments there!!!
Sounds to me Seagul must have been a player that missed the gravy train in his time. Spends alot of time on here with a very negative influence. My view on paying players is this, If a club is silly enough to spend more money than they should it's there bad luck at the end of the day they hold all the aces and give the nod of approval not the player.
Oh RR, you are so far off the mark it's ridiculous.
Problem this all creates is that player A goes country for $500 a game, comes back to city after a couple of years when sick of travelling and expects same money. Can't get it so goes club shopping.
The term quite often used is "footy sl*t"!

obviously i think balaklava will be right there with a good team last year and some handy juniors stepping up think they will be the team to beat.
Mallala i think maybe there run has come to an end not righting them off but i think they will just make the 4
Virginia, well with a few big ins and some key outs on paper have the team to do well lets see if there heads can stay resilient after the heart break of last year
every1 else have supposeablly recruited heavily so will be interesting

Balaklava: shows promise, needs to capitalise on it.
Mallala: Lost a quality player in R Mont but gained one in Holmes is rumours are true. The team to beat still in my mind.
Two Wells: Centenary years mean you do what you can to win the A grade flag. Should be a top two contender.Virginia: Added to their firepower but just how well the new lads gel with the current squad will have major bearing on their season.
United: Might be a tough year at Tigerland considering the new points system introduction and it's impact on the club.
Hummocks/Watchman: Will be around the mark again.
Hamley Bridge: Looking forward to seeing some improvement and should do so significantly with some quality new players. Depth will still be an issue though.

Two Wells, United, Hamley and Balak all got knocked back. No reasons given!

Im pretty sure he came through the juniors? Played against him before! Did he leave Mallala on a sour note, swampy?
Yeah he played his juniors at Mallala and his old man coached for a while. I don't think it really bothers too many people at Mallala if he doesn't play there, I'm guessing given the current attutude, success and passion for the club of the current group of young players, that Mallala wouldn't really need to be worrying about recruiting fringe players that would keep out other loyal juniors who will be around for a while. Just my opinion.

Wrong MC. Two Wells, United and Hamley were knocked back. Balak were granted their request. Moved Martyn Bell, Seconded Colin Jenner. 2 out of 4 board members from Balak. That really stinks.
